UK hardcore heavyweights DESOLATED have inked a multiple album deal with Siege Of Amida / Century Media Records for the world excluding the USA.
The band’s official statement for the signing went as follows:
‘It’s rad to have a label that actually understands what we want to do when it comes to our next record; I like the people that run it and support what they are doing. Our new record will be out next year via Century/Siege and it will be the heaviest record we have ever done. Peace and love’ Richy – Desolated
Since their formation in 2007, DESOLATED have grown into one of the most fearsome prospects the UK has to offer. With a legion of crazed pit soldiers at their behest, DESOLATED have gained a palpable notoriety for their uncompromisingly violent sound and the resultant carnage that follows when they bring that very sound to the live circuit.
Having announced a 7″ entitled ‘Fear Of Life’ as the next new offering on its way, huge anticipation is now in place for the next forthcoming full length, scheduled for a Spring 2015 release.
To get an idea of what it’s like to be part of the nightmarish ecstasy that is a DESOLATED show you can check out the video for newest single ‘End Of The Line’. The video can be viewed below:

‘The Amanuensis’, at least the title, was inspired by author David Mitchell’s novel, ‘Cloud Atlas’. The complex story lines are the perfect analog for MONUMENTS. Musically, the group weave in and out of themes, motifs, and professor-like note calculations with graceful ease. But lyrically ‘The Amanuensis’ comes from a very different place. “The album is about the Samsara cycle,” reveals Browne (guitar). “The cyclical existence of life that we are all bound to.”
The story of ‘The Amanuensis’ is divided into 11 chapters :
1. I, The Creator
2. Origin Of Escape
3. Atlas
4. Horcrux
5. Garden Of Sankhara
6. The Alchemist
7. Quasimodo
8. Saga City
9. Jinn
10. I, The Destroyer
11. Samsara
After a recent short run with Dioramic MONUMENTS will embark on a full European tour with Protest The Hero right around the release of “The Amanuensis”. Afterwards the band will head to North America for the very first time together with Glass Cloud and Scale The Summit. Check thisismonuments.com for frequent updates.

Two of the most legendary and heaviest bands of the New Orleans scene have just released their new albums. The self-titled EYEHATEGOD album is their first since “Confederacy Of Ruined Lives” (2000) and offers “fourteen years’ worth of feedback that’ll ring in your ears for eternity” (Metal Hammer UK). CROWBAR celebrates their 25th anniversary with “Symmetry In Black” and media is haling the new album as one of best in their entire career.
We got both singers in one room to talk about their favorite music from local Dr. John swamp psych to the Meters’ funk and classic metal, punk and doom. And of course the two buddies got a lot of stories to share – from fellow musicians to criminal acts. Check it out here:
