Fear the fire, creaking steel and scattered mud! CIVIL WAR are back and shooting their martial anthems into the darkened sky. It has been four years since the proud Heavy Metal-hitmakers have released an album, this changes now with their third epos The Last Full Measure – out on November 4th via Napalm Records.

“Heaven can wait ’cause we have so many more battles to win”, shouts the opener “Road To Victory”. Listen to the full song as brand new lyric video here:

Fear an eruption of Sweden’s landmass! Fear the fire, creaking steel and scattered mud!

CIVIL WAR are back and shooting martial anthems into the darkened sky. On November 4th the proud Heavy Metal-hitmakers are releasing their third epos “The Last Full Measure”. The quintet with former Sabaton-members present twin guitars, keyboard-fanfares and doublebass-marches. Full of honor they are flying the flag as high as possible. Astral Doors singer Nils Patrik Johansson proves that his powerful voice was marked by destiny. It offers guts for more. It’s the call of duty. “Heaven can wait ’cause we have so many more battles to win“, shouts the opening track ‘Road To Victory’. Their debut album “The Killer Angels” was purified with gold already – their triumph is inevitable. If you hear the bloodcurdling barking of the dogs from Civil War you will pray that you are not standing on the other side of the battlefield.

Comment of Nils Patrik Johannson:
“After The Killer Angels and Gods & Generals, we are extremely proud and can´t wait to share the last part of the trilogy! This is our best work so far, at least this is what we think, but I´m sure you won´t be disappointed!”

Heavy Metal generals CIVIL WAR just finished the production of their yet untitled upcoming album, which was mixed and mastered by the mighty Jonas Kjellgren.

To celebrate the album release, on Napalm Records, the band will hit the road all over Europe quite soon. Fans have now the chance to vote the band to their favorite city via Stagelink. CIVIL WAR: Two Band Members Leave; New Album News

Swedish heavy metallers CIVIL WAR have announced via their official Facebook page that two members have departed from the band, but balanced with that some good news about forthcoming album “Gods And Generals”, due for release in May on Napalm Records. Check their statement below:

“Good News and Bad News

Civil War:

From the Civil War camp we have some breaking news to report. Good and bad. Let’s take the good first:

A video to the song “Bay of Pigs” from the upcoming album “Gods and Generals” will be released within the next couple of weeks.

The bad news is that guitarplayer Oskar Montelius has decided to leave the band and that we have decided to part ways with bassplayer Stefan Pizza Eriksson.
Oskars last performance with the band is the upcoming video.

Here’s a statement from Oskar:

”Howdy!

I have come to the decision that I am leaving the band. I have lost the spark and I feel it’s no fun to play music anymore. I love hanging with the guys, but I’m not willing to put down the work it takes to be in a band. So it is the best for everyone involved that I quit. Maybe I will pick up the guitar in the future, maybe I won’t. I’m wishing the guys in the band the best of luck in the future, and a big hurrah to all of you fans for all these years!
