In the middle of Cradle of Filth‘s ongoing South American tour, keyboardist Zoe Marie Federoff has announced her immediate departure. A short time later, the band confirmed the split and already presented a replacement.
Federoff, who only joined the band in 2022 as Anabelle Iratni’s successor, cited personal reasons for her abrupt exit, as she shared in a statement on her social media channels:
A replacement has already been found in Kelsey Peters of CREWDLE. She will be filling in for the upcoming concerts, as Cradle of Filth announced in their statement:
Whether Cradle of Filth will have a new permanent member for their upcoming European tour remains to be seen. We wish Zoe Marie Federoff all the best on her future path and Cradle of Filth a successful continuation of their South American tour.
Following their latest opus, The Screaming Of The Valkyries (Napalm Records) – which made stellar debuts at #5 on the Official German Album Charts, #1 on the German Top 20 Rock/Metal Charts, #4 on the Austrian Album charts, #2 on both the US and Canadian Hard Music Albums charts, #4 on the US Current Rock Albums chart, and more – and an extended summer festival run, CRADLE OF FILTH have announced another European headline tour.
Starting November 17 in Switzerland and concluding December 7 in Belgium, the British extreme metal pioneers are out to present their sinister blend of dark beauty, blast beats and Dani Filth’s unmistakable screams to fans once again.
Dani Filth comments: “Further to our successful ‘Summoned In Summer’ tour run, CRADLE OF FILTH are heading back out to Europe with Suffocation as special guests this November, with two more bands to be announced shortly. We are very excited to be playing these shows, especially with the American Death Metal legends onboard our Winter slayride! I have been a fan of Suffocation ever since I bought their debut Effigy Of The Forgotten in a small CD store in Ipswich all the way back in 1991, so I’m very pleased with this musical coupling.
It’s an eclectic hellish mix – soon joined by a further two supports – that we’re here slathering at the bit for… So come and suffocate in Filth this November and revel in a proper European nightmare before Christmas!
Bestial wishes, Dani”

On The Screaming Of The Valkyries, Dani Filth’s recognizable scream and equally identifiable growl stand mightily alongside twin guitar attacks, symphonic flourishes and explosive rhythm section, implemented by drummer Martin “Marthus” Skaroupka, bassist Daniel Firth, guitarists Marek “Ashok” Smerda and Donny Burbage, and keyboardist/vocalist Zoe Federoff. Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Scott Atkins at Grindstone Studios in Suffolk, England, The Screaming of the Valkyries beckons the brave into a new era of CRADLE OF FILTH misadventure, celebrating massive melancholic melody, blackened thrash, and apocalyptic existential dread with a grinning smattering of unbridled revelry. The Screaming of the Valkyries is a bloody dark love letter to the longtime legion of CRADLE OF FILTH faithful and a stunning entryway for fresh lambs to the sonic slaughter.

Following the release of their brand new 14th studio album The Screaming Of The Valkyries (Napalm Records) – which made stellar debuts at #2 on both the US and Canadian Hard Music Albums charts, #4 on the US Current Rock Albums chart, and more – GRAMMY Award-nominated extreme metal institution CRADLE OF FILTH have unveiled another surprise! A brand new music video for driving album track “Demagoguery” is out now, providing an eerily disturbing backdrop to the song, which blends dark beauty, blast beats and slaytanic groove as only Cradle can combine.
The video comes just in time for the band to kick off their UK/European headline tour, featuring support from label mates Nervosa, later this week! See below for a full listing of current tour dates!
“Demagoguery” music video director Shaun Hodson says about the video’s concept: “Subject Eleven, a marionette puppet, is controlled by the media, government, and television, her every move dictated by their unseen strings. As a charismatic world leader rises, cloaked in promises of peace, the truth behind her manipulation becomes clear: she is part of a dark orchestration guiding the world toward the rise of the Antichrist.”

Menacing album opener “To Live Deliciously” hits immediately with rhythmic urgency, built around a Libertine lyrical hook that twists and writhes with aggression, atmosphere, and melody. Across the album’s blunt and unforgiving yet inviting expanse, Cradle summons the succulent flavors of classic albums like Dusk And Her Embrace and Cruelty And The Beast with the galloping (but no less fierce) thunder of recent entries Hammer Of The Witches and Existence Is Futile. Flashes of early metal influences coalesce with carnivorous glee into unapologetic death ‘n’ roll.Anchored by arguably the most mournful melody in their catalog, “Non Omnis Moriar” (“I shall not wholly die”) could be a cousin to Paradise Lost or Anathema, inverted through Cradle’s thorny prism. “You Are My Nautilus” is the darkest song Iron Maiden never wrote, spinning an epic tale with dueling guitars, while “Ex Sanguine Draculae” conjures Dusk-era atmosphere with imaginative new colors.

Following their acclaimed recent single, “To Live Deliciously”, and its exquisitely twisted music video, GRAMMY Award-nominated extreme metal institution CRADLE OF FILTH are back to give fans more of the sinful sounds they crave with “White Hellebore”, another bewitching new single and music video.
Featured on the band’s highly-anticipated upcoming 14th studio album, The Screaming Of The Valkyries (March 21, 2025 / Napalm Records), “White Hellebore” is devilishly direct, juxtaposing traditional heavy metal with blasts of thrashing fury, then spinning back to operatic goth while remaining cohesive. The track’s must-see new music video was directed by Shaun Hodson.
CRADLE OF FILTH mastermind Dani Filthsays about the song and video: “The wintertime flower of the title reminds us scintillatingly of our own mortality, flourishing in seasons of dying light and cold, frozen earth.
Blossoming in the shadows, this Hellebore’s flowers draw us deeply into the stygian darkness with her.
In context of this song, the White Hellebore of the title is an alluring woman not too distant in danger from the predatory black widow, fostering both hope and despair; A poison and an elixir, she is stunning to behold but ever deadly to taste.
This video -reeking of Lovecraftian gothic horror- presents the White Hellebore as a movie starlet who survives the grave through her dalliances with dark occult forces, a necromantic mystic tryst that an overzealous morgue attendant encounters with terrifying results, complimenting the song’s unholy matrimony of melody and mayhem.”
Following the release of 2021’s Existence Is Futile (#20 Billboard 200 with Hard Rock Genre), CRADLE OF FILTH emerge again with a legacy-cementing opus. On The Screaming Of The Valkyries, Dani Filth’s recognizable scream and equally identifiable growl stand mightily alongside twin guitar attacks, symphonic flourishes and explosive rhythm section, implemented by drummer Martin “Marthus” Skaroupka, bassist Daniel Firth, guitarists Marek “Ashok” Smerda and Donny Burbage, and keyboardist/vocalist Zoe Federoff.

GRAMMY Award-nominated extreme metal institution CRADLE OF FILTH recently announced their upcoming 14th studio album, The Screaming Of The Valkyries, out March 21, 2025 via Napalm Records. The band reigns supreme as one of the most revered, formative and notorious names in music – from the depths of the extreme metal underground to the peaks of mainstream pop culture itself, and are responsible for breaking ground for many of today’s top metal artists with their trademark mixture of blackened heaviness, macabre theatricality and scintillating gothic style.
Today, following the release of their acclaimed new single “To Live Deliciously”, the track’s music video has been released in all of its gory glory. Experience the ride of your life (or death, rather) and watch the video now!
CRADLE OF FILTH master of ceremonies Dani Filthsays about the new video: “An observation on religious restraint as well as being a window to tout a bit of blasphemous filth, the video for ‘To Live Deliciously’ (our second from the new album) is a pleasant social engagement betwixt a pious young nun and her mentor priest.
Just with a smattering of demonic possession and sexual misconduct added for good stock.”

GRAMMY Award-nominated extreme metal institution CRADLE OF FILTH is thrilled to unveil their upcoming 14th studio album, The Screaming Of The Valkyries, out March 21, 2025 via Napalm Records. Available for pre-order now, the album excels as a succinct summation of the ghosts of Cradle’s past, while taking bold new steps into the future.
CRADLE OF FILTH reigns supreme as one of the most revered, formative and notorious names in music – from the depths of the extreme metal underground to the peaks of mainstream pop culture itself, and are responsible for breaking ground for many of today’s top metal artists with their trademark mixture of blackened heaviness, macabre theatricality and scintillating gothic style. Now, following the release of 2021’s Existence Is Futile (#20 Billboard 200 with Hard Rock Genre), iconic frontman Dani Filth & Co. emerge again with a legacy-cementing opus.
Entrance yourself with a brand new CRADLE OF FILTH anthem for a new era – “To Live Deliciously” – out today. The track hits with rhythmic, menacing urgency built around a Libertine lyrical hook that twists and writhes with aggression, atmosphere and melody.
CRADLE OF FILTH master of ceremonies Dani Filthsays about the new track: “The song is about the celebration of life. Of indulging in everything unfettered from the conformities of religion, fashion or state. Free from guilt or constraint. As nature intended.
It could be read as a hedonistic life code. And a positive one if not done at the expense or the suffering of others. To delight in simply’ being’. Being alive and free in the here and now.”
