We had several options considering a new label and can now proudly announce a collaboration with an experienced and prestigious metal label. Our 8th album will be released in June 2022 and we are looking forward to this liaison with all people of El Puerto Records! Stay tuned for more information!”
Matt.Bischof, Head of Promotion at El Puerto Records explains: “DAWN OF DESTINY have been a good name in the German metal scene for a long time. I think I first became aware of the band when they had one of my all-time favorites Jon Oliva (SAVATAGE) as a guest musician on an album. We are very happy that such an experienced band as DAWN OF DESTINY has chosen El Puerto Records!”
Dawn Of Destiny have been established in late 2005 by bassist Jens Faber in Bochum/ Germany. Based on powerful and fast Power Metal, the five musicians also involve elements of thrash, gothic or death metal into the music which is characterized by catchy choruses and creative song structure. Since then, seven great albums have been released that not only caused a stir across the genre.
Swedish metal veterans DESTINY have announced a new guitarist, ex-DAWN OF DESTINY‘s Veith Offenbächer:
Veith Offenbächer, formerly of DAWN OF DESTINY, is an experienced German guitarist born in 1976.
In 2006 he joined the German band Dawn of Destiny with whom he released five albums as well as guesting on their sixth album. Early 2015, after a final tour, Veith left Dawn of Destiny and Germany and moved with his family to Sweden.
Veith had been a fan of Destiny since the early nineties and a couple of years ago he met Stefan Björnshög which in turn last year led to a guest appearance on the coming Destiny album ”Climate Change”. After that it was only natural that after his relocation to Sweden that he would eventually end up in Destiny, who already had plans to ad an extra guitarist as compliment to Michael Åberg.
Veith will make his live debut with Destiny in the first half of 2016 promoting the new and comming anniversary album ”Climate Change”.
Presenting new line-up, From left (see picture above):
Stefan Björnshög is Destiny’s founder and permanent bassist since its inception in 1982 and plays on all Destiny albums and recordings. He is also the main songwriter of the band.
Jonas Heidgert is Destiny’s lead singer since 2012. He is also the lead singer of five Dragonland albums, as well as plying drums on two of them.
Kane Svantesson returned to Destiny in 2013 but joined Destiny the first time back in 1994 and handles the drums on Destiny’s fourth album “The Undiscovered Country” (1998).
Veith Offenbächer is Destinys latest member as he joined the band in october 2015. Formerly of the band Dawn of Destiny with whom he released five albums as well as guesting on their sixth album.
Michael Åberg joined Destiny in 2005. Michael was previously in Nostradameus and played guitar on four of their albums.
The Anniversary album was originally going to be called “The incompatibility of Philosophical Terminology” but for several reasons that title was scraped in favor of “Climate Change”.
The album will be released in the first half of 2016 and will contain five newly recorded old songs that have never before been released, as well as nine newly rerecorded old album songs.
The album will also feature special guest Adde Larsson on the drums on most of the tracks as well as guest performances from some former Destiny members.
