“Bombay Calling” was recorded in early 1995 and is one of the first shows DEEP PURPLE played with Steve Morse showcasing his virtuosic guitar skills and some of the new material would later make it onto the widely celebrated studio album “Purpendicular”. Astonishingly, the long thought lost master tapes for this unforgettable show in Mumbai were found lying around in an old cardboard box in November 1999.
A true gem for any fan, offering a rare insight into the extraordinary talents of this phenomenal rock band. Considering that Steve Morse only had played with Deep Purple a couple of times before, the raw power he lends to the classic songs is remarkable. The Indian press gave the concert rave reviews, with many claiming it to be the best rock show ever staged in India.
“Bombay Calling – Live in ‘95” is available from August 19th in two strictly limited editions: a 3LP+DVD Heavyweight Vinyl Gatefold as well as a 2CD+DVD Digipak, with both limited editions including the whole show on DVD as a bonus.
After the acclaimed release of “7 And 7 Is”, the first song revealed from their upcoming album “Turning To Crime”, DEEP PURPLE have released their brand new single ‘Oh Well’.
“Oh Well” is a song originally written and recorded by Fleetwood Mac. It is accompanied by a music video that shows Deep Purple on a very special mission.
“Everyone knows ‘Oh Well’ is a great song,” Roger Glover says. “Steve did the demo for that one. You never quite know where it‘s gonna go with Steve because he is very inventive. Right up until the point, with a couple of verses in, it was pretty much the same as the original. And then, all of a sudden, it took off like a rocket… in some other space.”
The official music video for “Oh Well” can be seen here:

“Live In Hamburg” is the first solo live album by the keyboard virtuoso DON AIREY, known as a member of Deep Purple – out on February 26th.
Touring with the great and the good for decades, Don Airey has never been on the road with his own solo project. This changed when he first toured Germany in 2017 as “Don Airey & Friends”. His Friends – of course, all true professionals in their own right – are lead singer Carl Sentance (Nazareth), ex-Black Sabbath bassist Laurence Cottle, guitarist Simon McBride (Sweet Savage) and drummer Jon Finnigan (Gang of Four).
Being one of the most recorded keyboardists of all time, with over 300 albums in which he has participated, the setlist in Hamburg’s famous Fabrik included top-class hits and all-time favorites from his career such as ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’ by Rainbow, ‘Still Got The Blues’ by Gary Moore or Deep Purple’s ‘Child In Time’ (which Deep Purple isn’t performing live anymore). Available as high-quality 2CD Digipak edition Don Airey’s “Live In Hamburg” must not be missing in any music collection when it releases on February 26th, 2021.
