Finnish alternative metallers DELTA ENIGMA have released a new video for their second single ‘Unreality’, watch it below. The song doesn’t follow in the footsteps of their previous release; it is something entirely different. Warning: ‘There are disturbing images in the video.’
The band’s vocalist Vin Valentino on “Unreality”:
“The idea for Unreality was to secretly blend in 70’s and 80’s style analog synthesizers with a modern rock arrangement. It sounds fresh, yet there’s something that people know they are already familiar with. A music video was also shot in retro perspective manner. It’s a massive 80’s style short film with 26 characters and a mysterious storyline.”

It should be noted the difficulties in having actors play multiple characters. Not all 26 characters could have a separate actor – Some actors had multiple roles throughout the video. It’s pretty challenging to squeeze the story into a few minutes on a topic that could have been made into a movie, says Vin. Nevertheless, he believes the idea behind the story comes through. It will be interesting to see how many different conclusions are generated. What do you think happened to Alice?
Delta Enigma will return with their third single of the year, ‘Venom’, this fall.
