Swedish old-school death metallers DEMONICAL post live video of the song “By Hatred Bound”, recorded at Chronical Moshers Festival 2025 in Germany. The song is lifted from the band’s 2022 album “Mass Destroyer”, available on Agonia Records.

DEMONICAL was spawned in 2006 by then-former Centinex members, Martin Schulman (bass), Ronnie Bergerståhl (drums) and Johan Jansson (ex-guitars & ex-vocals), with a mission to return to the roots of death metal. The now-fivepiece has made good on that promise with a vengeance, traversing a HM2-beaten path of melodic, Swedish death metal, replete with darkness and brutality. Their 2024’s live effort “Victorious Death – Live In Latin America” crowns a discography of seven studio albums and three EPs, interlaced with regular tours. One of their most recent treks, “Titans Of Darkness Tour”, has seen the band journey across Europe with Inquisition, with most of their shows sold-out.

The present-day line-up, apart from long-running members Schulman and Bergerståhl, comprises vocalist Charlie Fryksell, alongside guitarists Johan Haglund & Eki Kumpulainen.

In 2025 the band released a split EP with Inquisition titled “Deadly Alliance”.

Death metallers DEMONICAL have released their two-track live single “Välkommen Undergång” in February, and today, the Swedish long-runners emerge with a new music video for its sophomore track “Wolverine Blues” –  a cover of Entombed‘s and a setlist regular.

“Despite being in Swedish – or maybe because of it – our «Välkommen Undergång» midtempo-banger has become an iconic fan-favorite which always goes down well wherever in the world we play it,” comments DEMONICAL. Therefore, we decided to give it to you as a standalone live single, dedicated to you, our fervent fans, and defenders of deadly metal! In true old-school manner we do also have a B-side on the release, namely a live cover version of «Wolverine Blues» by the undead legends Entombed. Swedish death metal tyrants DEMONICAL post advance stream of their debut live record, “Victorious Death – Live In Latin America”, out today, August 30th (CD/MC/Digital) and September 27th (LP) via Agonia Records. The album constitutes tracks recorded during a tour of the eponymous region, which took place in September 2023.

The audio received a full-scale treatment featuring mixing at Wellbay Studios with Johan Hjelm, and mastering at Pentagram Music Studios by George Emmanuel (Lucifer’s Child, ex-Rotting Christ, ex-Necormanita). The album artwork was created by Chris Kiesling.
