Mumbai’s DEMONSTEALER has release a new official video for the songs “From Rubble And Ruin” taken from the band’s latest effort “This Burden is Mine”, featuring George Kollias on drums. Check out the video below.
Sahil ‘Demonstealer’ Makhija had this to say:
“I think the video takes a step away from the conventional metal ones and I’ll give complete credit to director Guilherme for this vision. I guess it was born from not actually having a full band or even myself to shoot because we are in different countries. So I gave him complete creative freedom and he delivered the goods I think.”
Sahil Makhija aka DEMONSTEALER, helming bands like Demonic Resurrection and Reptilian Death, teams up with none other than George Kollias of Nile fame on drums, to release a groundbreaking album in ‘This Burden is Mine’. With a vast experience and multiple instrument proficiency, Demonstealer, on the new album creates music that surpasses simple genre categorization, for this is a new blend of styles from all over – from death metal to thrash metal, laced with elegant and stunning atmospheric parts, propelled by the world class drumming of the legend George Kollias. This is a new epic coming from the biggest names in not just the region but also worldwide, and this could very well be a tour de force, the album we’ve all been waiting for. The album showcases rare maturity, with Demonstealer indulging in melodic solos and accentuating them with moments of clean vocals. This is easily the most ambitious release to come out from these parts and it’s imperative to give ‘This Burden of Mine’ a check.

Meanwhile he has collaborated with drummer Louis Rando from IMPIETY who is based in Australia and is part of various bands there. The track also features a lead guitar solo from Demonic Resurrection axe-man Nishith Hegde who is also part of horror metal band ALBATROSS.
The single ‘Genocidal Leaders’ is being released independently on 2nd October via his bandcamp page here as well as on all digital platforms like OKListen, iTunes, Spotify etc. The track has been mixed by Demonstealer himself and mastered by Daniel Kenneth Rego.
The lyrics for the track ‘Genocidal Leaders’:
“The rule of the game is to keep them in fear
An emotionless being, not swayed by tears.
Spill the blood along the way,
To not get caught is the name of the game.
Power, feeding the greed of man
Religion, a controlling master-plan
Diminish, their capacity to think,
Genocide, kill them without fear or remorse
History, rewritten, a bunch of lies
Chaos, nowhere to run or nowhere to hide
Slaughter, the innocent caught in your game
Lust, hungry for money, power and fame.
Ruthless. Tyrant. Mass Murderer. Profiteer.
Heartless. Souless. Unrepenting genocidal leader
Coward. Bastard. Remorseless. Death Dealer.
Heartless. Souless. Unrepenting genocidal leader
Even a verdict in court can be bought
It’s just a matter before you are caught
Your smiling face won’t erase your crimes
The blood on your body is not mine.”

Legendary death metal drummer George Kollias from NILE has just announced that he will be playing drums on the new DEMONSTEALER album. Sahil Makhija, the frontman of Indian metal band DEMONIC RESURRECTION who writes his solo material under the moniker ‘Demonstealer‘ is gearing up to release his sophomore album in May 2015.
Commented Demonstealer “Having George be a part of this album and to play drums on it is a huge honour for me. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect something like that to happen. I had the pleasure of meeting George personally in 2011 to interview him for my show Headbanger’s Kitchen and we became good friends, but still I’m only going to believe it when I have the drum tracks in my hands.”
“This album has been 4 years in the making and often took a backseat due to my work with DR, RD and Workshop, all who released albums over the last 2 years. The music is quite melodic and I think there is a lot of emotion in this album. The music is more melodic death metal so it’s going to be very interesting to hear George play on this because it’s definitely not as ferocious or fast as Nile so definitely excited to see what he brings to the table.”
