Bay Area metal icons MACHINE HEAD are thrilled to announce a UK headline tour for this December. Fans who missed the band on their recent super-intimate 5-date ‘Killers & Kings’ tour earlier this month can now get a hold of tickets for the winter run.
Frontman Robb Flynn is looking forward to the tour, commenting: “We’re really excited to announce the UK dates for our first full headline tour since 2011! We can’t fucking wait to play new music for all you HeadCases! We have some great support bands lined up, including Howard Jones’ (ex-Killswitch Engage) new band Devil You Know and one of the best bands around that happen to be some of the greatest dudes to hang with – our friends in Darkest Hour. So come out and rage with The Head, UK!!!”
With a brand new album in the workings, set for release later this year via the band’s new label home, Nuclear Blast, expect MACHINE HEAD to treat fans to a few new tracks on this upcoming tour. This’ll be your first chance to catch those new songs live!
We’re also happy to announce that support comes via label mates DEVIL YOU KNOW. This will be the Golden Gods Best New Band winners’ first UK Tour. Frontman Howard Jones has commented:
“We’re excited to hit the road in Europe with Machine Head. Robb has been a friend since doing the song “The Dagger” on the Roadrunner United record a few years back. Being hand-picked by Robb to do our first European tour is an honor.”
The super group of sorts formed in Los Angeles in 2012 and released their debut album ‘The Beauty Of Destruction’ earlier this year on Nuclear Blast. They performed their UK live debut at Sonisphere Festival this summer with Metal Hammer hailing the band as “sending everyone into a frenzy, the calibre of these musicians and their ability to put on a great show is undoubtable.”
Check out their video for ‘Seven Years Alone’ here
Joining them will be D.C melodic death metallers DARKEST HOUR.

DEVIL YOU KNOW will be joining Italy’s LACUNA COIL on the road in North America this Fall. “We’re excited to be heading back out in States and playing our first-ever shows in Canada,” says frontman Howard Jones. The dates will mark DEVIL YOU KNOW’s return to American stages after making a splash in the UK and Germany on this Summer’s UK Sonisphere and With Full Force Festivals, respectively.
DEVIL YOU KNOW’s Nuclear Blast Entertainment debut, The Beauty of Destruction has garnered significant critical praise and worldwide sales, debuting in the U.S. Top Fifty on its release and winning “Best New Band” honors at Metal Hammer Magazine’s Golden Gods Awards in June of this year. “It’s been an amazing ride so far,” says Jones, who voiced the gold level, Grammy-nominated KILLSWITCH ENGAGE for nearly a decade. “Making the record was the first step for us. Now it’s up to us to keep getting onstage so that everyone knows this isn’t a side project, but a true band.”
“There will probably be as much Italian spoken on the tour as English!” laughs Italian-born guitarist Francesco Artusato, also of ALL SHALL PERISH, who formed DEVIL YOU KNOW with Australian drummer, John Sankey, known for his time in DEVOLVED and collaborating with FEAR FACTORY. Fellow Italian guitarist Roy Lev-Ari and BLEEDING THROUGH bassist Ryan Wombacher round out the band’s lineup.
LACUNA COIL will be continueing their world tour in support of their latest Century Media release, Broken Crown Halo. Ohio-based cinematic rockers, STARSET will open the shows.

“Some good news and some bad news from the DEVIL YOU KNOW camp. Bad news first. As you may or may not know, three members of DEVIL YOU KNOW are not US citizens: John is Australian and both Francesco and Roy are Italian. Howard and Ryan are American. Unfortunately, we have come up against some logistical problems in getting our work visas in time for all of our upcoming European dates. Sadly, we’ve been forced to cancel some of the shows DEVIL YOU KNOW is slated to play in late June/early July.
The good news is that we will be able to perform at England’s prestigious Sonisphere Festival on Friday, July 4th. We are also extremely excited to be performing on mainland Europe on Saturday, July 5th at Germany’s With Full Force Festival. These are both hugely important shows for DEVIL YOU KNOW and we can’t wait to play for our fans, both old and new there. We are currently rescheduling these cancelled European shows as well as mounting a full tour there for the near future.
DEVIL YOU KNOW just completed our first full-fledged tour of the United States with BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, DOWN and THE BUTCHER BABIES. The shows were great and the audiences were fantastic. This is truly a new beginning for the five of us! See you soon!“ – Howard, Francesco, John, Ryan and Roy.
The band released its debut album, »The Beauty Of Destruction«, this April, on Nuclear Blast.
DEVIL YOU KNOW, freaturing Howard Jones (ex-KILLSWITCH ENGAGE), Francesco Artusato (ALL SHALL PERISH) and John Sankey (DEVOLVED), have released the official lyric video for the track “A New Beginning”, here.
DEVIL YOU KNOW’s highly-anticipated album, The Beauty of Destruction, will be made available on both physical and digital formats on April 29 (North America/UK/France) via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The record was produced by Logan Mader (5 FINGER DEATH PUNCH, GOJIRA) and mixed by none other than acclaimed producer/mixer Chris “Zeuss” Harris (HATEBREED, CHELSEA GRIN). Artwork was created by noted painter and illustrator Travis Smith (OPETH, DEVIN TOWNSEND). “When Travis Smith presented us with the initial sketches we were blown away,” commented Jones. “He captured the concept of the album perfectly. It’s hugely different than anything that’s out there and will be immediately recognizable as DEVIL YOU KNOW.”
Check out the music video for the track “Seven Years Alone” at http://smarturl.it/SevenYearsAlone. “Seven Years Alone” is also now available as a digital single via iTunes.

“The stage is really being set for something incredible to happen” says Australian born drummer John Sankey. It was Artusato’s musical collaboration with Sankey (also a collaborator with FEAR FACTORY) that caught Jones’ attention in late 2012 when demos were passed through mutual acquaintances. Based on the strengths of the two musicians’ efforts, Jones emerged from a two-year hiatus following his decade-long tenure fronting KILLSWITCH, during which the Massachusetts metallers racked up two gold records and a Grammy nomination.
