Paris based alternative Metallers AQME are set to release their seventh studio album “Dévisager Dieu” (“Staring at God”) on November 3, check out the teaser below. The album is all about “No fair to faith nor happiness sprinkled with holy water but a cheeky entity, even in the heart of the storm, looks right in the eye of their fate and take the lead. This confidence, AqME found it on the road the past two years, slaying audiences with what will be remembered as some of the most energetic shows of their History.”
Buoyed by this live intensity and the unwavering support of their historic label AT (h) OME, the uninhibited and self controlled quartet entered the studio. Forget the technicality and the frantic race to decibels, AqME has nothing to prove, except that they are still able to write good songs. In fact , “Dévisager Dieu” is an authentic orgy of classics, starting with the single “Avant le Jour” (“Before the day”) and “Au-delà de l’ombre” (“Beyond the shadow”), two tracks that will undoubtedly give you the chills, for those who discovered AqME with the unfamous “Sombres Efforts” and “Polaroids et Pornographie.” Not denying the metal storm of their last productions, AqME comes back to life with the catchiest melodies of their career. A return to efficient choruses, and to everyone’s surprise, the coronation of Vincent, who enriches this new collection of songs with a very wide vocal range. Emotions come through and his singing, clear or frayed, and driven by sensitivity to the very edge. From melancholy to madness or despair, Vincent assumes perfectly his new role as leader, while striving to immortalize the AqME’s legacy.

Even mixed and mastered by the loyal Magnus Lindberg, this new baby also hides a surprise, as it was completely made in-house, under the leadership of Etienne, founder and guarantor of AqME’s DNA. In autarky for three weeks, the drummer, songwriter and now producer worked to guide the band into developing a sound he likes to call “100% AqME.” A big challenge as to put everyone’s sensitivity forward, proving that the collective good prevails over everything. Heavy drums, groovy bass , massive and sharp guitars and above this macabre symphony, a singing that you feel to know by heart. This is also where lies the strength of “Dévisager Dieu”, a rebellious seventh album which shows that if AqME’s identity is intact and unalterable, it is also because it is able to survive all.
