And out of time, an ephemeral bubble, absinth green steam, dark crows defy Poe, Baroque ‘n’ Roll, this boat ripped the water lilies and landed on the shores to the enchantment, adventure, because we must merit this music, it is a journey to the outer limits of the absurd and madness, a metal maelstrom.
Second album in 17 years of career after many line-up changes, this “Diabolism Of Conversation” (with a beautiful and inspired black white artwork) of the tortured Italian Fury n’ Grace is necessary with the deep voice print of the amazing Deathmaster (DoomSword) as well as a musical dialectic arriving at maturity (after that of 2007 entitled “Tales Of The Grotesque and Arabesque”), severe postulating the first step of the podium, under the flag of best experimental and progressive album this year 2011.
Relying on a Candlemass under mescaline and exceeding widely “Metal” framework because so much digested influences are piercing the skin here and there (the charming voice, abyssal beauty, that can even convene a crepuscular Bowie, a Scott Walker who would have succeeded…, the compositions bordering the “Math Metal” in their arid and belligerent structures and their harsh psychedelic descents that would make proud a demonic Iron Butterfly…), in short, granted possession…
Full work to take as a whole, as one cannot separate the fetus from the mother, this music is alive, moves outside and inside, spitting of blood clots in a glass of milk, taste my child the beverage of the turmoil. Complex but illuminated, tortuous as the human soul, this Metal will not leave unharmed.
Romantic and gruesome ballets where glaucous from the 70s invite themselves in this Palace, doom in the architecture and heavy in the foundations, sensual when it is, this church opens other Aldous Huxley’s doors…
Hypnotic metal for hungry neurons, this drug is called Fury n’ Grace. What a Trip !
10/10
