Australian electro prog sensation VOYAGER has partnered with The Prog Report to release the multi-instrument play-through video for the song “Disconnected.” The track is taken from 2017’s critically acclaimed album ‘Ghost Mile,’ which will be reissued via Season of Mist on July 10. The video can be seen at THIS LOCATION.
Bassist Alex Canion comments, “Being disconnected from each other over the Covid-19 lockdown has been tough. Some of us actually forgot just how hairy Ash’s face was! So by the power of Australia’s infamous National Broadband Network and the good ol’ spirit of heavy fucking METAL, we bring you a disconnected, yet connected DISCONNECTED…. or something like that.”
Drummer Ash Doodkorte adds, “One of the best things about being in a band is, even when nothing is working, everything is stacked against you, and you’re struggling to keep afloat creatively or financially, you’re in it together with your best friends and they always know how to brighten your day and keep you going, laughing all the way. Being disconnected over the course of this pandemic, even to the point where we can’t rehearse (thanks, laggy Australian internet), has been the biggest challenge, because we’ve been apart from each other as musicians and as mates.”
The digipak version of ‘Ghost Mile’ will contain three bonus tracks which were recorded during the VOYAGER show at ProgPower in 2017. It can be pre-ordered HERE.
2019’s ‘Colours in the Sun’ was recently the winner of The Independent Music Award in the Rock/Hard Rock Album category. The record was released in November of 2019 and landed a coveted #1 placement on the Australian Independent Albums chart! ‘Colours in the Sun’ also debuted at #7 on Independent Label Albums as well as #27 on Official iTunes Australia. You can stream and purchase the record HERE.
Earlier this year, VOYAGER‘s music video for “Runaway” was exclusively premiered via ‘Eurovision – Australia Decides!’ Following an application via the Song Portal, the band finally received recognition for submitting a track and were paid tribute on the live television broadcast that aired on Saturday, February 8 on the Gold Coast. The video is now available worldwide and can be seen at THIS LOCATION.
