US melodic rockers DOUBLE VISION take a bold step forward with the release of their powerful new single, “The Man You Make Me,” out now via Frontiers Music Srl. Known for delivering pitch-perfect recreations of Foreigner’s timeless hits, DOUBLE VISION now solidifies their transition into original music with a track that captures the soaring spirit and emotional depth of classic ’80s rock while injecting a fresh, modern edge. The new single comes alongside a visualizer, available below. 

About the track, lead singer Chandler Mogel comments:

“When I heard this song as a contender for the record (written by my dear friend and super talent Aleena Gibson), I was blown away and had to record it for the record. It’s literally one of the best ballads I’ve ever heard, and I feel so blessed it fell into my lap! I really hope that others will feel the same, it’s a really special and intimate song – kind of like ‘I Want To Know What Love Is’ – just a real centerpiece ballad with a great arrangement and a memorable chorus that you can’t get out of your head.”

“We wanted to make a record that would be totally our own, but still contain a hat tip (or more) to Foreigner. We didn’t want something derivative, but at the same time, something that would appeal to fans of the band. We wanted our own identity and stamp. However, we do feel that a good way to describe the album is that if you took all the different eras of Foreigner and rolled them into one, along with some other sporadic influences, it would sound something like DOUBLE VISION.”

About the new album, DOUBLE VISION comments:

“We wanted to make a record that would be totally our own, but still contain a hat tip (or more) to Foreigner. “This song is pure melodic rock joy – when we wrote this song, I knew it was going to be the single. It’s about that girl that’s simply unreachable – we’ve all been there or had that feeling. And she’s just been put on a pedestal, and she won’t fall for your tricks, but that’s something that’s kinda enjoyable in song.”

Vocalist Chandler Mogel commented on the single: “Silence Is Louder” evokes late 70’s / early-era Foreigner with a fresh flair and approach for the modern melodic rock era.  The concept is a powerful one, because silence often leaves room for interpretation, reflection and sometimes even tension.  And in that space, emotions can grow louder than spoken language ever could. Ironically, we believe that conveyance of this concept through music is just what the doctor ordered – as people experience these concepts manifested in relationships, in protest or defiance, or also in communication.  All very important factors of life and for this day and age”.
