Guitarist Andy McCoy (former Hanoi Rocks) is producing the debut album from Ember’s Flame, a Finnish band playing “modern classic rock mixed up in year 2010 blender,” according to a press release.
Pre-production for the CD begun in April and recordings kicked off in the beginning of August at 5K Studios in Helsinki. The album is aimed for a late 2010 release.
“Already at the early stages of the project we decided to get an external producer,” says Ember’s Flame frontman Sami Toivonen. “We browsed through different alternatives and somehow came up with Andy’s name. After discussions with Andy, it was easy for us to make the decision.”
The band states: “We are pushing it to the limits,” the group states. “It’s going to be our debut longplay and there’s no room for compromises.”
The band has previously released a single “She Said” in 2009.
Ember’s Flame line-up is:
Sami Toivonen – Vocals
Pete Tarkanmäki – Bass
Jouni Sipilä – Drums
Teme Virtanen – Guitars
