Turkish metallers PITCH BLACK PROCESS have released their new EP, “Deceiver”, in January via Sliptrick Records. The effort features three new songs, including the title track, which was written by Swedish guitarist Niclas Engelin of IN FLAMES and ENGEL. “Deceiver” was produced and mixed by Daniel Bergstrand at Dugout Studios (IN FLAMES, MESHUGGAH, SOILWORK) and mastered by Thomas Eberger at Stockholm Mastering.
Commented the band: “‘Deceiver’ was written by Niclas Engelin (except vocals, lyrics, keys and the melody on the break) for us as a result of our great relationship.”
PITCH BLACK PROCESS will follow up the EP with a full-length album “Hand of God?”, also recorded, mixed and produced by Bergstrand and mastered by Eberger. The release date will be announced soon.

At the beginning of 2013 Swedish melodic death metallers ENGEL recruited Mikael Sehlin (Degradead) as their new singer, and only a couple of days later he made his live debut with the band at the Gothenburg Sound Festival in Sweden. Metal Shock Finland‘s Tarja Virmakari had a chance to interview Mike and ask him about his first days and weeks in ENGEL, as well as about upcoming album of DEGRADEAD. But among many other things, Tarja found out also what is Mike’s method to learn quickly by heart new songs … to know this and more, just listen to the interview below.

Hey Everyone! Studio update. Todays session was really good and Plec and I knocked down 4 more songs wich means we’ve 7 songs completed now. The drum recording is going really well and sounds amazing! REALLY excited about this and i really can’t wait to share the songs with you guys!

A BIG congratulations to our vocalist and frontman Mikael Sehlin for getting the spot as Engels new vocalist! We are really happy for you and wish you all the best with this project.
To all of you who have been asking us, Mikael is still our vocalist and he is still 100 % dedicated to Degradead and this will not affect Degradead. The recordings of our forth coming studio album will begin on Monday January 14th.
World domination is still on the map and a new Monster will be released into this world starting Monday.
