From Rome’s underground scene burst onto the scene Evelyn Roger, a band that blends the fury of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal with a personal sound, rich in gripping melodies and anthemic choruses. With their debut album, “Pistole tra i peluche” (Guns Among the Stuffed Animals), just released via Elevate Records, they are poised to conquer the Italian metal scene, mixing tradition and modernity in a uniquely captivating way.
The 8-track album (available both as a DIGIPACK and, of course, in digital format on all platforms and Bandcamp) brings together the raw power of NWOBHM with the band’s personal touch, blending melody and anthemic choruses. Their lyrics, sung in Italian, play between pirate iconography—which also inspires their look—and themes of strong social relevance, creating an intriguing contrast.
On stage, they turn every performance into an immersive experience, where crushing riffs and hypnotic melodies alternate with more introspective moments.
