DOCKER’S GUILD Announce Side-Project EVENT HORIZON + Crowdfunding

Black Swan Productions is very happy to announce the launch of the crowdfunding campaign for Docker’s Guild side project Event Horizon.

The debut album, called The Bright Shadow Years, will contain a collection of the first songs Douglas R. Docker ever wrote, back in 1983-1984, when he 15 years old. They are little vignettes of a new artist still trying to find his style, far away from the complexities of Docker’s Guild, so you will find some country music, rock, ballads, and even ’80s new wave.

All musicians in the band are Docker’s Guild veterans: Helly (drums), Alberto Macerata (bass), Toni Urzì (guitars) and Douglas R. Docker (keyboards and vocals).

The campaign begins on April 1 and closes on June 30, 2024. All money received will go to finance the album, without the usual costs or fees of third party platforms. Also, 10% of all funds will go to Save the Children in Gaza.

NB: the exclusives will be shipped at the end of the campaign (July 2024), except for the CD which will be shipped when released (before the end of 2024)

EVHO teamed up with Eliot Geller at Geller Cellar Studios and mastering done by acclaimed music producer and owner of The Brick Hithouse, Shane Frisby (Parkway Drive, The Ghost Inside, and Bury Your Dead) for their upcoming release “From the Sun” (Release Date: TBD).

Formed in 2008, four best friends from New York decided to come together to create the rock band EVHO. Drawing influence from the classic to modern rock bands, EVHO molded their own unique sound which would set them apart from a music scene fading into mediocrity. With 11 national US tours and 2 live Television performances under their belt, EVHO was fortunate enough to share the stage with quality acts like The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, He Is Legend, The Ataris, Senses Fail, The Sleeping, Closure in Moscow, The Dollyrots, Sleeping With Sirens and many more. New York Rockers EVHO (Event Horizon) premiered earlier this week their new music video “Ricochet” on New Noise Magazine, now the video is available also on EVHO’s Facebook page as well as on youtube, watch here:

EVHO shares: “The lyrics to the song ‘Ricochet’ were written when the band went on their first two month long tour of the US. The song is about running away from your problems and then coming back to rebuild yourself to become complete again, that’s ‘Ricochet.'”

I AM I Release New Single, ‘You’re The Voice’ On 10th December

I AM I will release their cover of John Farnham’s classic 80’s track ‘You’re The Voice’ on December 10th on digital format, distributed worldwide by Plastichead and available from all the usual digital outlets.

Their rocking, feel-good cover of John Farnham’s classic 80’s song had been received exceptionally well on the band’s recent tour with everyone singing along with the memorable chorus of this great track, leading them to decide to put it out as an end of year single.

ZP also felt that the lyrical content of the track was especially relevant in this current era, mirroring what’s actually happening with the us all right now & making the timing for the single release perfect.

Written by Andy Qunta, Keith Reid, Maggie Ryder and Chris Thompson, ‘You’re The Voice’ was originally released by Aussie singer John Farnham in 1986 and was a smash hit, reaching the top 10 in most European countries.

‘Event Horizon’ to be released digitally worldwide on 10th December

I AM I’s debut album ‘Event Horizon’ will also be released worldwide on digital format on December 10th. This album had previously been released exclusively throughout Europe but due to the increasing demand for the release throughout the US, Americas, Australia and other territories, the decision was made to go ahead and release it digitally worldwide.
The album be available to Download worldwide from that date from all usual digital outlets – iTunes, Play.com, Spotify, emusic, Amazon, Pandora etc

2012 has been an incredible year for I AM I from start to finish –  their debut album ‘Event Horizon’ receiving critical acclaim across the board and their first festivals and UK tour under their belts – with a new EP pending early in the year, Skid Row tour already confirmed in April and many more shows & festivals to be announced, 2013’s already looking to be another huge year for the band!
