Texas based progressive band BIBEAU have recorded their first single and shot their first video for release everywhere around the world. ‘Mark This’, which will be released worldwide on May 3rd along with the single to radio and the digital version distribution.
The single was produced by Luke Garrigus at Blackroom Studios outside of Austin, Texas (https://www.facebook.com/blackroomstudios). Bibeau plans to record the remaining new songs with Luke in Blackroom Studios later in 2016 after the writing/demoing process is completed.
For the video, Bibeau actively recruited producer/directer Justin Mosley at Dark Letter Entertainment (c) to bring the band’s post apocalyptic video to life. Justin, wrote, produced and director the film, “The Devil’s Deal”, which was recently released
internationally through Lionsgate (Lions Gate Entertainment Corporation) and the trailer can be viewed here:
“The Devil’s Deal” is a western/horror film with a premise that revolves around an the old western town in an old western time. The plot involves the return of a missing clergyman who calls a ceremony, the townspeople are thrust into a night of madness and death. The remaining townspeople must fight to keep not just their lives, but their very souls.
“We wanted to shoot the video with a heavy emphasis on our performance. At the same time, everyone in the band knew we needed to balance the five plus minute song with a narrative that reflected a potential post apocalyptic vision of the future“, said Drew Theiring (vocalist/songwriter). “We also wanted a video that incorporates some of the elements from our artwork, band logo and live show written into the video treatment’s storyline” he added.
“We were also hoping to convey the look, feel and flow of some of the classic, timeless rock and metal videos from the height of MTV’s popularity, said Robin Bibeau (guitarist). “At the end of the day, we were all confident that Justin Mosley was our guy to help us pay homage to the classic video era.”
The ‘Mark This’ video also features talented actress and model, Courtney Bridges (https://www.facebook.com/Courtneyinaction) who perfectly creates the feel and despair of life in a post apocalyptic world. Justin Mosley commented, “just finished the “Mark This” music video for Bibeau! These guys were super professional and a group of seriously bad ass musicians. I also had the pleasure of working with a talented actress Courtney Bridges. Everyone worked tirelessly to make a great finished product and I’m so excited for everyone to see it.” You can check out the video here:
“Mark This” will be released in digital format on May 3, 2016 through Fade to Silence Records via Amped Distribution/AWAL worldwide. Bibeau (pronounced “be-bow”, “bebo”), formed in 2009 by brothers Robin and Peyton Bibeau after spending countless hours learning and rehearsing songs by Rush, The Beatles, Metallica, Free, Iron Maiden to name a few. The brothers decided to use their family name as homage to the legendary Van Halen (brothers on drums and guitar). Bibeau is managed by 30 year music industry veteran (Spitfire Records founder, Relativity Records, Mayhem/Fierce Records) Paul Bibeau, who also happens to be the father of drummer Peyton Bibeau (15) and guitarist Robin Bibeau (19). The band worked hard the past several years to develop a large following via performance videos on YouTube, ReverbNation and Facebook before coming into their own with a rapidly growing fan base with their live show.
Bibeau has spent the past several years at the #1 spot on ReverbNation (http://www.reverbnation.com/bibeau) Rock and Metal Charts in the East Texas area. Within the last month alone, Bibeau has earned new fans from Venezuela, Iran, Italy, France, Saint-
Petersburg, Russia, Hyderabad, India, Swansea, WLS, United Kingdom, West Lorne, ON, Canada, Vancouver, BC, Canada, Tucson, AZ, Sterling, IL, New York, NY, West Chester, PA, Waskom, TX, Rainier, OR. Further evidence of a growing story is the band is currently ranked in the top 500 overall artists in America and 814 globally on ReverbNation with 5,444 demo song plays (excluding the bands’ first ever single) and 16,867 video views (excluding the bands’ first ever video).
The band has also managed to rack-up over 26,000 video views on their YouTube Channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/Bibeau36) which features self-produced, homemade video clips of the band performing original songs and cover versions of songs by Rush, The
Beatles, Metallica, Free, Iron Maiden to name a few. Last but not least, Bibeau has utilized social media outlets such as Facebook (over 2,443 likes), Twitter (996 followers) and Instagram (508 followers) to stay connected to their fan base and grow their musical brand.
Recently, Bibeau stayed ahead of the proverbial curve by launching a new Bibeau App for
the Itunes and Google Play marketplaces, available for free on each platform.

Rounded out with a strong lineup of like minded, gifted musicians, Bibeau set out to create a unique progressive sound highlighting melody mixed with complex time signatures, rhythms and arrangements. Lead by a dual guitar approach with soulful, soaring vocals and a rhythm section willing to push the boundaries, Bibeau began to craft, record and perform their own material to a growing legion of fans.
Bibeau can be best described as a musical bridge between the classic power metal from the ’70’s and ’80’s combined with the edge and attitude of today’s modern progressive metal. Hailing from East Texas, Bibeau draws inspiration from everything from Rush to TesseracT, Metallica to Dream Theater, Opeth to Tool, Led Zeppelin to Iron Maiden. Having said that, Bibeau manages to sound unlike anyone else around, mature, driven and poised for success with a purpose beyond their age.
Bibeau have been hailed as “Prog Metal’s New Breed” and have wowed audiences with their skill, advanced technical abilities coupled with their intense delivery and the sheer strength of their original material. With their new spin on prog metal, Bibeau is most certainly pushing the boundaries of music. Forged with a firm grasp of the lineage, spirit and history of the music they adore, Bibeau is comprised of Drew Theiring (formerly with Dazed) on vocals, guitarists Robin Bibeau and Alan Benek Hernández (formerly with Sirkus), bassist Chris Ray and drummer Peyton Bibeau. The best is yet to come.
American rockers ROCKETT QUEEN have unveiled the first video from their Goodnight California EP, “I Hate You.” Check it out below:
A fan favorite at live shows, ‘I Hate You’ brings the story of a contentious romantic relationship to life through a simple yet highly effective concept.
“The concept was interesting to me because I didn’t want it to just be a simple, on-the-nose sexual video,” said vocalist/guitarist Walter Lee. “I wanted to touch on all the different dark places we tend to go while trying to work out our issues, whether they be from the new relationship or an old relationship, so we can move on with the new. At the same time, it shows how sometimes sex can be used as a weapon.”
To do this, ‘I Hate You’ juxtaposes images of a boxing couple with steamy sex scenes, illustrating the dichotomy of the relationship, while also interspersing shots of Rockett Queen’s dynamic on-stage performance.
“I’m extremely happy with how the video came out,” said Lee, who took on the directorial role along with Bruno at Snap The Picture, whose previous work includes Vogue, Neiman Marcus, MTV, Wall Street Journal and Tiffany & Co. “Bruno has such a great eye for detail and style that it was for the most part easy to film. Everything from his lighting to his scene-stealing camera work really brought the whole project together. The only thing missing was a final scene where I wanted to light the inside of his studio on fire for a climactic ending to the video, but he was having NONE of that, so we went with an alternate ending!”
The video took roughly two months to film and cast, a task that was beginning to feel hopeless.
“It took a special quality to really get the point across and we spent forever trying to find the right leading lady and man,” Lee said. After nearly giving up, Lee connected with former Playboy model Summer Ayala, who took an interest in the role. “After discussing the treatment with her and joking about how perfect she would be with her past experience in acting and modeling, surprisingly she jumped at the chance to do it. Even better she knew the perfect male lead in Devin Northrip an actor/model signed to her agency. With Devin’s background in MMA fighting he really added a lot to the fight scenes.”
Rockett Queen’s brand of straight-up, honest rock ‘n’ roll has garnered the quartet a great deal of critical acclaim and Top 40 airplay. Performing for more than 25,000 music fans, the band’s energetic live show has won over a devoted fan-base.
“Goodnight California” is available now via Fade To Silence Records.
The metal stage is bigger that what you can normally see. Producers, directors, sound engineers, managers, promoters, record label staff and many more people are working to enable you to watch and observe your rock stars rock on the magnificent stage of metal. It’s a system which looks like a web and every point plays their own role, just like a clock, otherwise the whole system will collapse.
My guest this time is one of those invisible stars behind the stage who has been supporting, guiding, consulting and showing the way to many artists. Paul Bibeau is a huge American rock and metal supporter who describes his job as a “labour of love“. He has a quite big reputation, including working with a few record labels and impressive names such as DIO, Alice Cooper, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and many more. Recently, he has been working on his new record company, Fade To Silence Records, built up by Paul in recent times.
Perhaps you have heard that the music industry is encountering some problems and perhaps you have also heard some artists complain and speak of it as a “Crazy Industry”. But love, passion and hope are indeed the strongest weapons against any difficulty and perhaps they are the reasons that encouraged Paul to create a new record company in this business which “really is crazy” he stated. “The scary thing is there are records stores starting to pop up again because the resurgence of vinyl, but the distribution system, people are, you know there is a younger generation are kids that aren’t necessarily rushing out to buy special edition vinyl or CDs. They are stuck in the world of either downloading which is starting to diminish, but they will go to Spotify and they will go to the various spots and stream music.”
I had another interview with Paul, about three years ago, when he was in a kind of vacation. He told me that the business that he knew is in its final stage of death. But what truly has changed that made him change his mind and come back to the business? I believe it was again love, passion and hope. “I felt like, you still have to work with the bands to be able to, you know I’ve been doing the management side of the fence but you still need to build a stable or roster of talent in associate yourself with them, even though the delivery methods are changing and they certainly are because it is not necessarily the physical world, it’s aligning yourself with good talent that has the ability to go out there and work hard and building something together and it’s a lot different than it used to be …” Paul answered me. But what does this business mean to him now and how does he do his job? He said: “I don’t look at it the way I looked at Mayhem Records or Spitfire Records or even Relativity Records from Sony years ago. It’s more of a management partnership now, overall to develop the talent as opposed to a record label ‘cos a record label traditionally is set up, put the record out, make a good (sound scan impact?), first week sales, second week sales and then go on to the next thing … I am looking at small staple of bands, only a handful bands to work together and create a different life cycle for a record … So it’s more or less a labour of love….”
Fade To Silence signed with two bands up to now and as Paul made clear, he is only looking at “a small staple of bands, only a handful bands to work together“. The first band in the row is Rockett Queen, an American hard rock act. “It’s a band I met locally in Texas,” Paul said to me and described them “They put on a very high profile show – very powerful, very energetic, kind of like old school strong front men that plays guitars and sings. Everybody that sees ’em is floored.” He continues “They’re just one of those bands.” Mr Bibeau also gave us some information about the band’s upcoming work, “They’ve got a record coming out next year, produced by Zac Maloy who’s worked with Halestorm and a bunch of really creative either country crossover, or rock and heavy metal bands.”
Paul and his company also has another name in their band list, With Our Arms To The Sun, see what Paul had to say about them: “I’ve got that and then With Our Arms To The Sun out of Arizona, who are very creative, artistic. I’d put them in that vein of Mastodon, a little Opeth, a little Tool – just a great creative band and they’re road warriors, they stay out on the road forever. We’re doing a date in Arizona with Tool and Primus in front of thirty thousand people for the Monster Mash Ball on Halloween and you’re going to love what’s coming out next year!”
As I mentioned before, Mr Bibeau worked with a few record labels, the biggest being Spitfire Records and a few bold names. “Well you know, I worked with some of the most historic influential talents that I obviously grew up listening to. I mean, when I was a kid I really got introduced to the heavy metal world via Alice Cooper, when my sister brought home ‘Welcome To My Nightmare’ and it scared the shit out of me!” Paul remembers those days. “But I loved working with Alice, I loved being able to make suggestions, ‘cos at the time he wasn’t doing the makeup, he had really kind of moved away from doing the big stage production in the show. And we wanted to do something that was very heavy – it was very competitive what was going on at the time and we wanted to package him on more of a shock fest type thing, where he might be able to play with a Slipknot or a Marilyn Manson. We wanted to bring him back and make it contemporary…. ”
Paul also remembers the voice of metal, Ronnie James Dio, “I was there to support him, I picked him up at a time where that style of music was at its lowest in America and people weren’t really paying attention. And I’m thrilled to see his legacy continue to grow, even in his unfortunate passing. After all these years, he’s still thought of so highly and he deserves it.” “Magica” and “Killing the Dragon” are two of DIO‘s albums which were released by Paul Bibeau’s Spitefire Records and he describes working with Ronnie, ” Obviously getting the work with people like Ronnie James Dio, with Dio he knew instinctively what he wanted to do. I would help, I would more or less with Ronnie listen, because you don’t tell Ronnie what to do, not that I’d tell any artist what to do. But he really got it and really knew how to properly represent himself and what he wanted to do in his art.”
But Paul supported many more bands and artists, some of them were in their first stage of growing, “It was a pleasure working with a lot of bands like Zakk Wylde, with Black Label and seeing that thing grow from the beginning, from the onset and watching it grow into something big. You know, hindsight is twenty twenty – when you look at these bands like Black Label Society, they really broke from being on the road and it takes a while. That’s what I’m prepared to do – I’d like to be in this for the long haul.”

Progressive art rock band WITH OUR ARMS TO THE SUN is the second act to sign with the new-launched Fade to Silence Records.
With Our Arms to the Sun is a breath of fresh air in a musical landscape dominated by pop formatted bands. The Arizona desert-based foursome crafts a brand of cinematic conceptual music that aims to evoke emotion and inspire thought in listeners. The band’s free-flowing style is not easily pigeon- holed, appealing to fans of not just one genre, but to people in general who appreciate music as expression.
“My son and I went to see John 5 perform in East Texas and as luck would have it, With Our Arms to the Sun were the supporting artist,” said Fade to Silence founder Paul Bibeau. “Upon taking the stage, the band took complete control of the room and I was locked into every second of their performance.
To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. It felt has though the band was playing the very last concert ever and wanted to put it all on the table. Their performance was thoroughly pleasing, cinematic in scope coupled with an intense, passionate delivery. I got sucked into each note, each composition and I loved they journey they took me on. I spent a few minutes with them afterwards and we began to talk more and more. I knew immediately, this is my cup of tea.”
With Our Arms to the Sun’s first release through Fade to Silence will be a reissue of the band’s self- released “A Far Away Wonder” EP on CD and vinyl.
“We were anti-label for the longest time and did everything DIY,” said With Our Arms to the Sun vocalist/guitarist Josh Breckenridge. “We recorded and distributed all of our own albums, and even made our own merch. One of the reasons we were not interested in being on a label was that we wanted to retain our sound. We are not interested in changing who we are artistically just to be more ‘marketable’ or ‘commercial.’ There are plenty of bands pounding that drum and we want to do something different. Paul immediately understood what we were going for as a band and rather than be a typical industry person, he encouraged our growth towards being a conceptual band. Also the chance at being one of the flagship bands on a new label that has a creative philosophy really appealed to us as artists.”
With Our Arms to the Sun – which is completed by Joseph Leary, Joseph Breckenridge Jr. and John Mclucas – has three self-released recordings to their credit. The Fade to Silence re-release of “A Far Away Wonder” will come later this year. With Our Arms To The Sun is managed by Alan Jones/Slant Business Management and booked by Andrew Goodfriend/TKO.

The launch of Fade to Silence Records was announced earlier this month by former Spitfire Records company founder/president and industry veteran Paul Bibeau. The new label, which is distributed via AMPed Distribution worldwide, will focus on establishing a cutting and creative edge driven label brand, a catalog/visual/television imprint and publishing division highlighting the hard rock and heavy metal genre’s broad musical spectrum.
Fade To Silence Records is excited to announce explosive Texas rock ‘n’ rollers ROCKETT QUEEN as the label’s very first signing.
“I ran into Rockett Queen’s Walter Lee in a club in Texas and he dragged me outside to his Mustang to listen to rough track mixes of new songs the band wrote and recorded with producer extraordinaire Zac Maloy in Nashville,” said Fade To Silence founder Paul Bibeau. “Suffice it say, I was floored by the quality and strength of the material. It had hooks and melody! So I ventured to Dallas to see them perform live and in all honesty, rarely have I seen such a seasoned performance delivery full of energy and engagement. Simply put, they owned it. I struck up a rapport with the guys and decided that I needed to manage this band.”
The first release will be a reissue of the group’s Goodnight California EP in an expanded edition, including three new tracks, on September 25. “We had some songs we didn’t get a chance to put on the first round due to time restraints and we just felt this was a perfect time to put it all together and get it out the way it was meant to be,” said vocalist/guitarist Lee.
The EP will feature the original five tracks, showcasing Rockett Queen‘s versatility, from the hard-driving anthem “I Hate You” to the poetic sensibilities of “Since You’ve Been Gone.” In addition to the EP’s five original songs, the new version will feature the brand new song “Hey God,” an acoustic version of the band’s “Hard to Love” and a cover of the Misfits’ punk classic “Attitude.”
“I feel that there seems to be a lack of young, rock n roll bands today with memorable songs that can also put on one hell of a show,” Bibeau said. “Frankly, I find it refreshing.”
“‘Hey God’ is about the destruction and emptiness that some families face after a family member is shipped off to war,” Lee said. “Realizing how many of them have to pick up the pieces and find a way to make life work without the person who was suddenly plucked out of their lives is something that hits close to me.”
New conceptual videos for “I Hate You” and “Since You’ve Been Gone” have been shot and will be released in conjunction with the first singles to commercial radio. A lyric video for “I Hate You” has also been produced. Get your first taste here:
“Hard to Love” is an acoustic preview of a track from Rockett Queen‘s next full length record, which the band is currently working on with producer Zac Maloy in Nashville.
“To show some of our punk rock roots we decided to record a cover version the Misfits song ‘Attitude,” Lee said. “We wanted to reach back and have some fun with a style of music we all grew up loving.” Rockett Queen‘s brand of straight-up, honest rock ‘n’ roll has garnered the quartet a great deal of critical acclaim and Top 40 airplay. Performing for more than 25,000 music fans, the band’s energetic live show has won over a devoted fan base.
Said Lee: “We strive to walk that line of paying homage to what we grew up loving about rock ‘n’ roll and giving something new to the generation that came before us AND the kids that are at the forefront of the new rock revolution.”
Rockett Queen is completed by Jay Scars on lead guitar, Chaz Graves on bass
and Keith Crash on drums. http://rockettqueen.net
