On January 28^th SACRAMENTUM’s classic debut album “Far Away From The Sun” is finally going to be re-released. Sold out for over 10 years, “Far Away From The Sun” has only been available for exorbitant prices for the last couple of years. Now all fans of the real Swedish death/black metal that missed to grab a copy of the album back then finally get the chance to fill the gap in their collections. “Far Away From The Sun” is one of the few huge classics of blackened Swedish death metal (or Swedish black metal, however you want to put it) and ranges amongst legendary albums such as “Ancient God Of Evil” (UNANIMATED), “Welcome My Last Chapter” (VINTERLAND), “Vittra” (NAGLFAR), “Afterlife Kingdom” (SATANIC SLAUGHTER) or “The Somberlain” (DISSECTION). Nothing but a milestone in Swedish metal art. The re-release of this classic album has been done in close cooperation with the band. The impressive cover artwork has been newly scanned by its painter Kristian “Necrolord” Wåhlin. And boy, does it look great! The entire layouts have been reworked. Dan Swanö, who recorded the album back in 1995, has done a careful remastering of the sound and Olivier Badin an in-depth interview with SACRAMENTUM’s guitarist Anders Brolycke and drummer Nicklas Rudolfsson.

“Far Away From The Sun” will be made available on CD and LP. The LP version comes with a regular sleeve (with silver print), inlay (silver print as well), full color labels and a 60×60 cm poster of the original cover artwork. Although we hardly ever do picture vinyl (as it is considered more a “collectors only” item and can have lower sound quality than regular vinyl), in this particular case we just had to do it. It just looks too good.
