OUT OF THE ASHES Reveal Full Line Up For The 2014 Three Day Music Festival

OUT OF THE ASHES festival takes place at Vauxhall Motors Sports Club in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire on 11th, 12th and 13th July.

The event was so successful that in 2013 it was decided to expand the festival to run over 3 days and 3 stages . Head of Events, Didd Bakstad, enlisted the help of Dan Read (The Core) and Sal Whiplash (Whiplash Promotions) to help expand the event and run their own genre specific stages. OOTA 2013 was also expanded to included acoustic, indie, hardcore and punk rock bands. In the end over 104 bands played at OOTA 2013 over an incredible weekend.

Dan Read of the Core said “It’s taken many months to make sure we have the right line up for this year’s festival and I think everyone will agree it’s been worth the wait. OOTA 2014 will be our biggest and best event so far, with a lineup which is quite frankly mind blowing! We’ve been extremely grateful to all the bands who have committed themselves to play the festival and donate their time for the Headbangers Balls charity.“

Day tickets are now on sale (£10 per day) as well as weekend tickets (£18 – includes camping). Tickets can be bought at this location.

Tuska Open Air Metal Festival has issued as follows:

VENOM Schedules First Canadian Appearance In 27 Years

British black metal pioneers VENOM will make their first Canadian appearance in 27 years as the headliners of the Noctis V metal festival, set to take place over three days (September 27-29) at the University of Calgary’s MacEwan Hall Ballroom, the Distillery Nightclub and Vern’s Bar in downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Support acts will include the post-rock group AGALLOCH (USA, as well as grindcore outfit PIG DESTROYER (USA). Old-school heavy metallers will be satisfied as veteran heavy/power-metal combo MANILLA ROAD (USA) is set to play in its first Canadian appearance, along with Swedish heavy/doom trio GRAND MAGUS. American satanic death metal band NUNSLAUGHTER occult black-metal group BLACK WITCHERY (USA) and German festival favorites EXREMENTORY GRINDFUCKERS will also perform, along with popular black/speed-metal band MIDNIGHT (USA) who will be making their third Noctis appearance this year. Additional support acts will include “humor-core” band PSYCHOSTICK (USA) and tech-death act ARCHSPIRE (CAN). Female-fronted doom metallers BLOOD CEREMONY (CAN) and thrashers SPEEDWOLF (USA) will play at the Noctis launch party, along with progressive death metallers THE CONTORTIONIST (USA).

As for accompanying Canadian talent, the bill includes Edmonton-based female fronted heavy metal act THE ORDER OF CHAOS, thrash group EPI-DEMIC, tech-death outfit KATAPLEXIS, and prog metallers PHANTOM LIMB, all from Calgary. Heavy-metal band ANCIIENTS folk-metal act SCYTHIA, and doomsters HOOPSNAKE, all from British Columbia, have recently been added to the bill.

To help Noctis patrons unwind after what is sure to be an epic set by VENOM, the official after party at Vern’s Bar will include a metal and punk set by BLOATED PIG and OH SHIT!

DARK FUNERAL, EDGUY, KAMELOT and SAMAEL are among the first confirmed bands for the Forces Of Metal festival, set to take place June 8-9, 2012 at the E3 beach in Eersel, The Netherlands.
