Following the critically acclaimed debut album Yume, FLOYA embark on one final journey through the dreamlike world they’ve crafted—before setting course for new sonic frontiers. ‘Cloud9’ is the explosive send-off, an adrenaline-fuelled fusion of rock, hyperpop, and drum & bass/jungle that pushes the band’s dynamic range to new heights.
Driven by pulsating electronic beats, ‘Cloud9’ bridges the ethereal soundscapes of Yume with the raw intensity of what’s to come. Lyrically, the song is a moment of clarity – “I see you, I know who you are, but you’re not even in my orbit anymore.” It’s a euphoric rush—both a celebration and a transition—announcing a more grounded chapter in FLOYA’s evolution.
The music video, filmed in Tokyo and Osaka, captures this shift. Neon-lit streets and vast cityscapes provide the perfect setting for a track that’s all about moving forward without looking back.

Pop rock duo FLOYA have released a brand new video for the title track of their freshly released debut album Yume, out since 8th March via Arising Empire.
“We wanted to emphasize gratitude and positivity on Yume, even as we touch on some somber themes. It’s a reminder to focus on what brings us joy and fulfillment, amidst life’s challenges. We’re proud of the emotional range and cohesion we’ve achieved with ‘Yume’, and we’re confident listeners will find something to resonate with.”
Rising from the ashes of ALAZKA & Time, The Valuator, brand new group FLOYA emerge onto the music scene. The German duo Phil Bayer & Marv Wilder establish a wild blend of solid rock foundations alongside modern EDM elements and world music, inspired by their childhood influences, namely Peter Gabriel, U2 & Sting. Carving a name for themselves individually in the past as the founders and songwriters of their praised acts, Phil & Marv are now headed on a journey of their own, exploring sound aesthetics across every genre following one simple mantra: There are no limits.
With this statement engraved on their minds FLOYA strive to create something bigger than themselves, taking you on an unforgettable adventure into their very hearts.
Since the release of their debut single ‘Wonders’ in March 2022, FLOYA have amassed over eight million streams on Spotify alone. Their single ‘The Hymn’ was featured in an official AFL game between Port Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs on Australian television; an impressive achievement for a newly launched act. FLOYA have also received significant airplay from Kerrang!Radio (UK) and Radio Contact (BE).
With full production duties and additional songwriting fulfilled by Chris Kempe (Embark Audio), best known for his work in ALAZKA & Time, The Valuator and mastering being handled by Robin Schmidt (The 1975, You Me At Six, Biffy Clyro, Don Broco), FLOYA promise to make 2024 their year.
Pop rock duo FLOYA have released their new single ‘Lights Out’ – the first song they wrote and recorded as a band. The track is taken from their upcoming debut album Yume, which will be released on 8th March via Arising Empire.
Guitarist Marv Wilder comments on the track: “We were jamming somewhere in Norway when we stumbled upon the main riff of the song. Phil went straight into the recording booth and laid down some sketches, it was very natural. I feel like ‘Lights Out’ is an homage to our musical roots, we were very different people when we wrote that one. Lyrically it’s probably the darkest one we did, but the topic it tackles is so important. It’s an amazing feeling to now release it after all this time, it’s very humbling.”
‘Lights Out’ shines as a standout track on FLOYA‘s electrifying debut album Yume. The album features the band’s recent singles, which have acted as compelling glance into their musical excellence. It’s a collection of songs that promise to ignite your senses.
Hailing from Germany, Marv Wilder and Phil Bayer found common ground by talking about their childhood influences, namely Peter Gabriel, U2 & Sting.

FLOYA have announced their debut album Yume, due for release on 8th March via Arising Empire. The band have also released a video for their new single ‘Drift’.
‘Drift’ is filled with genre-bending moments and conveys a clear message: do what you love, there’s not enough time for anything else. The duo elevate listeners with powerful, airy synths, Marv’s romantic guitar riffs, and Phil’s unmistakable, angelic voice.
“I don’t think I’ve ever written a song this honest before,” says vocalist Phil. “I’ve grappled with ambivalent emotions toward my career, to be completely transparent. There were moments when I doubted whether I could continue doing what I love. I turned my back on music for a while and, as a result, lost a significant part of my identity. ‘Drift’ is about precisely that: dealing with ambivalence, overcoming doubts, and enabling you to continue doing what you love.”
