Earlier this year, the Finnish metal band Garden of Stone released their debut album, ‘The Grave Mistake‘, via Inverse Records. The band has continued to push forward, and their first single, ‘Silence Falters’, along with its accompanying music video, is now available. The track is taken from an as yet untitled second studio album, due for release later in 2026.

Garden of Stone published their debut EP, Tides of Decay, in February of 2024, and their debut album The Grave Mistake a year later. The band is showing no signs of slowing down, as the release of their most brutal single is just around the corner.

Garden of Stone’s debut album, “The Grave Mistake”, paints a musical landscape filled with savage riffs and aggression juxtaposed with mesmerizingly haunting melodies and ballads. An amalgamation of death metal and melodic rock, “The Grave Mistake” is a testament to Garden of Stone’s genre-blending style of music, proving that the band is unafraid of branching out of their comfort zone while still remaining true to their roots.

Lyrically the album portrays a dystopian future ravaged by war, where each song represents a different scene witnessed by the main character as they travel across a desolate wasteland. The listener is granted access to a deep dive into the human psyche, as hopelessness, despair and insanity slowly consume the final glimmers of light in the world, embracing the inevitable void.

Finnish melancholic metal band Garden of Stone is set to release their debut album ‘The Grave Mistake’ on November 29th 2024 via Inverse Records. Waiting for the Dawn is the second single taken from the upcoming album. A music video is made for the track and it’s available below.

“The song contrasts clean emotional ambience and angelic singing with massive riffs and violent screams, serving as a testament to the band’s musicianship. 
“Waiting for the Light” depicts a life overwhelmed by suffering and chaos, symbolized by darkness and entrapment. The protagonist expresses a longing for hope and redemption, continually waiting for the light to break through their torment. The recurring themes of violence, false hope, and the search for escape highlight a deep sense of despair and the struggle for salvation.”

Day of Discord” is showcasing the band’s newfound ferocity and aggressiveness in their songwriting. The brutal riffs and grueling screams are contrasted by a clean, melancholy section that ties the song to Garden of Stone’s roots. “Day of Discord” encapsulates the band’s growth as musicians, proving they are not afraid to push beyond the boundaries of their previously established genre.
