
Irish Rocker and SCAR FOR LIFE‘s vocalist, Rob Mancini with his Publishing label Glasshouse Media is currently creating a rocking cook book involving some mega stars and those who are on the way to become one. Check it out:
The Idea:
In times of mp3, digital media and internet, artists are struggling with poor sales.
Alternative ways to be “tangible” for fans on a long term basis, especially with a physical product are extremely sought after and highly in demand.
Metal/Rock lovers are a highly dedicated fan base with a keen interest in “their” bands. Collection and merchandise is gaining high popularity among those fans. “Cooking Rocks” covers multiple angles: It will offer private information about a band that may not have been known before (band or individual band member cooking) and can be used as exclusive merchandise article – preferably signed – with possibilities to evolve into a highly sought after collectible item.
There are a lot of young, new bands on the market facing serious limitations on finding a new audience and music listeners are dealing with a saturated market, mostly going for bands that will “stand-out from the crowd”. Cooking Rocks” can serve as the right medium to be one of the “stand-out” bands/artists.
The Book:
176 pages, high quality print in colour with many illustrations (Bands and recipes) and 2 Audio CDs (sealed inlay).
1 page of band bio and background, 1 page of private “insider information”, valuable to loyal fans that like to get a “behind the scenes” view and insight into the private life and hobbies of the artist/band and 1 song on a sampler CD inserted in the book.
We’re planning for a total of 30 Bands.
We will also have a dash of well known bands as an extended special – meaning – those will feature 8 pages, throwing all sorts of personal knives and forks at you!
To finalize the course of the book we will add a hint of certain products or companies associated with Rock&Metal.
