GLENN HUGHES: Adds Southampton Concert To Autumn 2015 UK Tour

GLENN HUGHES, the legendary ‘Voice of Rock’, has added another concert to his 2015 solo tour at Southampton Engine Rooms on Saturday October 17. Joining Hughes for his UK shows will be the celebrated rock guitarist Doug Aldrich (Revolution Saints, formerly Whitesnake, Dio).

Special Guest on the tour is Jared James Nichols who will perform songs from his new album “Old Glory & The Wild Revival”.

The concerts will showcase highlights from Glenn’s career including Trapeze, Deep Purple, Black Country Communion, California Breed, plus solo material. “It’s always a great pleasure for me to play in the UK,” says Hughes.

GLENN HUGHES: Announces Autumn 2015 UK Solo Tour

GLENN HUGHES, the legendary ‘Voice of Rock’, is extending his 2015 Solo Tour with new shows in the UK, spanning mid October into November. Joining Hughes for his UK shows will be Doug Aldrich (Revolution Saints, formerly Whitesnake, Dio).

The concerts will showcase highlights from Glenn’s colorful career including Trapeze, Deep Purple, Black Country Communion, California Breed, along with his solo material.

“It’s always a great pleasure for me to play in the UK,” says Hughes. “I have lived in Los Angeles most of my life, but my career started back in the UK.”

Tickets go on sale in the UK from 10am GMT Tuesday June 23 from the following venues. Support for the tour is Jared James Nichols who recently released his debut album “Old Glory & The Wild Revival”.

Dario Mollo’s VOODOO HILL To Release “Waterfall”, Feat. Glenn Hughes

Italian guitarist Dario Mollo is working hard to put the finishing touches on the long awaited third VOODOO HILL album, entitled “Waterfall”. VOODOO HILL is a collaborative effort between the Italian musician and legendary singer/bassist Glenn Hughes. The new album marks the first rock release from Glenn since the demise of the short lived power trio California Breed.

The musical direction of this new album has a solid foundation in Hard Rock with some very melodic moments and diverse influences ranging from classic Deep Purple/Rainbow and Led Zeppelin Official to Van Halen.

Dario Mollo says, “I put a huge amount of work on this record, even though Glenn also helped a lot giving me a lot of suggestions for improvement. Glenn did an amazing job in songwriting/performing and I’ve never heard him so pleased about the results! I think this is the album we did together that suits his singing and style the most and in the end this truly became a team effort. Maestro Dario Patti did also a fantastic job arranging the orchestral parts in 2 songs. Every time I listen to the album a stupid smile appears in my face, so I just can’t wait to see people reactions!”

Musicians completing the line-up are Andrea Maiellano on bass, Riccardo Vruna and Vladimir Ruzicic Kebac on drums and Dario Patti on keyboards and bass. Frontiers Music Srl plans to release “Waterfall” in September 2015 – more details will be released shortly!

CALIFORNIA BREED: “The band is over…what a logo though, right?”

After only being created in 2013, it seems that CALIFORNIA BREED is no more. The band originally started out with Glenn Hughes, Andrew Watt and Jason Bonham, but more recently with Joey Castillo on drums.

The band posted on their official Facebook page, “The band is over…what a logo though, right?”

Following that statement, a comment from guitarist Andrew Watt was posted:

“To the California Breed fans here…I put everything I had into this band…all I can say is I was in it for the long hall…I have a lot of new music for you guys…going to be announcing my plans soon…I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you supporting us, buying our music, coming to our shows…this is not the end…it is truly the beginning…cannot wait to continue the quest to bring rock n roll back to the people that are hungry for it…what an amazing learning experience for me here and introduction to an amazing world of people and fans that share love for the same thing.

Orange Amplification Ambassador and legendary bass player Glenn Hughes will be appearing exclusively on their booth at the 2015 Winter NAMM on Saturday 24th January at 2.00pm, where he will meet, greet and sign autographs.

For over forty years Glenn Hughes has been a bass player, vocalist and songwriter with some of the world’s greatest Rock acts, as well as having carved out a hugely successful solo career. His long list of credits include the likes of Deep Purple, Black Country Communion, supergroup Kings of Chaos and Tony Iommi.. He is currently lead vocalist and bass player with California Breed whose self-titled album was one of the most critically acclaimed releases of 2014.

Glenn recently produced a video about why he uses Orange Bass Amps where he said, ‘When you plug into this, (Orange AD200B Mk3) prepare to meet thy match!
