”Godsend”

Finland’s rising stars in melodic death metal BLOODRED HOURGLASS will release their 4th studio album, »Godsend«, on June 28th, 2019 via Ranka Kustannus and Out Of Line Music.

The band has revealed the second video and single “The Unfinished Story” which can be seen here:

The band comments:

“The Unfinished Story“ is maybe the most sentimental song of Bloodred Hourglass so far. Atmospheric, melodic and also harsh are the key words to describe this song. With this we wanted to represent we have the capacity not only to make fast and furious tracks, but also make our signature sound work on heavier and slower ones.”

“The Unfinished Story“ is supported with an artistic video by Jesse Haaja and was filmed during the same sessions as was the video for “Waves of Black”. Surprisingly, the story of the song is presented with female beauty.

The band just recently played on the Suomi Feast in Japan with overwhelming reactions from the Japanese fans.

“We were so excited to visit Japan and were totally humbled of the kindness of the people and how we well were treated on our short trip to the land of the rising sun. Also the two shows were fully worth to play: japanese audience was giving their best by going absolutely crazy! We surely managed to get lots of new listeners and friends and we are already looking forward to get back there as soon as possible!”

BLOODRED HOURGLASS will release their 4th studio album ”Godsend” on May 31st 2019. Currently finalizing the process with the album the band promises to raise the bar of the high quality metal releases this year even higher:

”Godsend is so far the best version of a band called Bloodred Hourglass. This album will modernize our sound and the output on the record will be somewhat fresh and varied compared to previous releases. Expect an album with full of harsh attacking melodic metal!“, states the band.

Godsend was recorded by Juho Räihä (Soundspiral Audio) who is also the man behind the previous releases. This time the album mixing and mastering is done by Henrik Udd (Henrik Udd Recording) who is famous for working previously with bands like Architects and Bring me the Horizon. Godsend will be released through Ranka Kustannus and Out of Line Music throughout the world. The album cover art is designed by Tuomas Koivurinne in cooperation with Miika Saari.

Last year Bloodred Hourglass visited several different festivals outside Finnish borders and will return to Europe in March-April for a full-length tour with Swedish metallers Evergrey. Additionally in May the band will be performing in Japan for the first time. Going international doesn’t mean BRHG would forget their home country: during spring and summer the band will perform in various Finnish events and festivals.
