Luca Mazzotta, mastermind of the project, says about this song: “The Past is one of the first songs I wrote for “The Journey”. This song describes a memory and a state of mind when I was a teenager. I still remember that moment very well and I always carry it with me. It was a Sunday morning and there was a rainy sky. The Past is an aggressive song but with a melodic vocal line because I wanted to associate the restlessness of that moment with a memory of the past. It’s a technical song between doom and death metal style without growl. Maybe I can say that there is also something of Amorphis sound”.

HELFIR To Support ORPHANED LAND On Their Acoustic Tour 2015

My Kingdom Music is pleased to announce that HELFIR will play as support act for the last three ORPHANED LAND shows (Budapest, Padova, Rome) of their European Acoustic tour on October 21st, 22nd, 23rd 2015.

HELFIR‘s tour will continue in Italy with other two shows as headliner in Salerno on 24th October and Avellino on 25th.

During the shows Luca Mazzotta, mastermind of the band, will present an unplugged set with songs from the debut album “Still Bleeding” released by My Kingdom Music and Pink Floyd, Katatonia, Anathema cover songs.

HELFIR has premiered a new video “Black Flame” from their debut album “Still Bleeding”, just released on My Kingdom Music. Watch it below.

“Black Flame” is representative of the dark sound characterising the melancholy of HELFIR music, a decadent and detached sound that will embrace you in its hypnotic and passionate music.

Luca Mazzotta, HELFIR’s mastermind, so commented the work under this effort: “We shot the video in a very particular mood, it’s obscure, elegant and full of magic at the same time and it represents perfectly the atmosphere we want to express. I want to thank and share my joy with Antonio Leo who did a really great work and the model and dancer Carla Cannone for her unique and sensual way of performing in this videoclip”.
