Godz Ov War Productions has set October 13th as the international release date for the debut EP of Poland’s RITES OF DAATH, Hexing Graves. The EP is going to premiere during a gig No Reason To Live where Rites of Daath will be support Malthusian, Outre and Taran. This release will be available as a standard jewel case CD and Digital Download.

A few words from the band about their concept: ‘Rites of Daath‘s general aim is to create a heavy and crushing sound. It blends massive, slow parts with sudden explosions of sheer madness in the faster parts. The band’s music is deeply rooted within the death metal underground scene, and it’s faithful to the oldschool and raw sound. It was inspired by a variety of death/doom metal acts, such as Necros Christos, Morgoth, Grave Miasma and Asphyx, as well with Celtic Frost and Hellhammer. Dark and intense, the music is a reflection of the lyrical concept, because the music and the lyrics are an entity, and they focus around various alchemical themes, revolve around death and the cult of it. The EP itself evokes the majesty of death, but not only as a power behind everything,but also as a passage to the absolute. The production is 100% natural, without any triggers or a pumped, artificial computer-like sound’.

Hexing Graves was recorded in the damned summer of 2017 at Roslyn Sudio and Michal Pijocha’s Studio, with mixing and mastering at Roslyn Studio. The artwork was created by a young Polish artist, Julia Siuda. The logo was created by Ihasan Art.

Poland’s sovereign death metallers RITES OF DAATH have annunced the release date of their debut EP “Hexing Graves”, through Godz Ov War Productions on October 13th.

Cemetery Whore is dead, long live Rites of Daath! Having changed the name, the guys also changed their musical preferences and shifted towards that raw sounding and obscure death metal in the vein of Dead Congregation and the like. Rites of Daath focus on mid- and fast tempos, with some blasts on the one hand, and some doomy parts on the other hand, guttural or shrieking vocals, harsh riffing, pounding bass guitar and drums parts, all immersed in gloomy and sick atmosphere, sounding evil and claustrophobic, and delivering some high quality material that fans of the already mentioned Greeks, but also those of some of the current English, Australian and American death metal acts will definitely love to listen to over and over again. Twenty-plus minutes of uncompromising, relentless and slaughtering death metal – an EP you cannot afford to miss!
