According to Century Media Records, Bay area titans HIGH ON FIRE will release “Spitting Fire” Volumes 1 & 2 on July 1st, 2013. The track list spans the course of the band’s history with hits like “Fertile Green,” “Frost Hammer”and“10,000 Years.” High On Fire cannot be defined by their sound on tape alone. “Spitting Fire” is a vivid snapshot of the band’s massive sounding live show, which for fans who have yet to witness, are clearly missing out.
“Spitting Fire” was recorded live in two marquee New York City venues; The Music Hall Of Williamsburg and The Bowery Ballroom. It was later mixed by Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studios in Oakland, CA with additional engineering by Kurt Ballou of Converge. Multiple pre-order options are now available at CM DISTRO including limited edition vinyl.

Due to the Mickey Mouse executives, EXODUS will be forced to miss the April 12th date of the Metal Alliance Tour, on which they are direct support for ANTHRAX, along with opening acts HIGH ON FIRE, MUNICIPAL WASTE, and HOLY GRAIL.
An official statement from EXODUS reads:
“Because Disney has decided that Exodus is TOO METAL for them, we will NOT be playing the Lake Buena Vista HOB show in Florida, but the fine thrash maniacs in Tampa have invited us to rage at the Orpheum instead. Who’s comin’ out for a Lesson in Violence?”
Exodus is not the first metal band to feel the wrath of the corporate powers behind Walt Disney Properties; MACHINE HEAD has been banned from the House Of Blues venues in Anaheim and Orlando (both of which are situated on Disney property). “Violent imagery”, “inflammatory lyrics” and most appallingly “undesirable fans” were cited as the reason.
Oakland, California trio HIGH ON FIRE has been added to the ANTHRAX-headlined third annual Metal Alliance Tour, which is set to kick off in March and run through the month of April.
ANTHRAX will perform its fan-favorite 1987 album “Among The Living” in its entirety during the trek, which will feature additional support from EXODUS, MUNICIPAL WASTE, HOLY GRAIL and a couple of additional bands, to be announced at a later date.
“ANTHRAX has always been one of my favorite bands, and to have them be part of our tour is beyond expression. This is surely going to be one for the history books!” stated tour co-organizer Dan Rozenblum.
Added ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian: “Holy crap am I so excited about this year’s Metal Alliance Tour!
“It’s been a great year and a half for us since ‘Worship Music’ came out and to cap it off with a Grammy nomination.
“This is such a perfect lineup. To make this tour even more special, we will be playing our ‘Among The Living’ record in its entirety. I can’t wait to play ‘Horror Of It All’!
“Come on out and worship with us, my friends. You do not want to miss this. USA on Hell one more time.”

The third season of the critically acclaimed show will begin airing on September 23rd. The song will appear in episode #7, which is currently scheduled to air on November 4th.
About Treme: From David Simon, creator of ‘The Wire’ and ‘Generation Kill,’ and Eric Overmyer, writer-producer of ‘Homicide’ and ‘Law & Order,’ ‘Treme’ is set in post-Katrina New Orleans. It chronicles the struggles of a diverse group of residents as they rebuild their lives and their city. ‘Treme,’ pronounced Truh-may, takes its title from the name of one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, an historically important source of African-American music and culture.
