Interview by Tarja Virmakari
Among the most tenacious and consistent bands in the worldwide thrash metal scene, from its origins to today, certainly includes Californians HIRAX, lead by the incredibly energetic Katon W. De Pena. On the occasion of the new album “Immortal Legacy”, released on March 4 via SPV/Steamhammer, the affable frontman lent himself willingly to a pleasant telephone conversation with Tarja Virmakari (for Truemetal.it). The main topic was of course the latest effort of HIRAX, but Tarja and Katon talked also about the past and the future. Katon wanted to give, too, his tribute to his late friend, Jeff Hanneman. To know about this and more, please join the chat below. (the interview was conducted at the end of January)
