Iron Maiden have now set an end point for the Run For Your Lives World Tour. The band has released the final tour dates for 2026, and bassist Steve Harris shared his excitement:
“We are very excited to be bringing this Run For Your Lives World Tour to Japan later this year. And even more so as we are ending the entire two year world tour in Yokohama. I have always loved spending time in Japan, and we enjoy coming back whenever we can to play for our fans there. So it feels extra special for us to be sharing the final two nights of this incredible tour with you all in Japan. It’s going to make it a truly memorable occasion for us all.”
However, Iron Maiden will still play a wide range of shows across Europe this year, including several festivals and stadium concerts. In contrast, 2027 will be much quieter for the British icons. A statement on their website reads:
“These two shows will be extra special as they are the very last shows the band will play until at least 2028, as they take a well-earned break from being on the road for the whole of 2027.”
The announced dates for Japan, New Zealand, and Australia (with special guests Megadeth) are accompanied by two new tour posters. Find all European dates below!

Following the unprecedented success of the previous two books in the series comes Volume III of The Official IRON MAIDEN Colouring Book, specifically designed to celebrate the band’s 50th Anniversary, and the record-breaking Run for Your Lives tour. As with the previous entries, the new book celebrates Heavy Metal’s most iconic, influential and enduring band.
Delving deep into Iron Maiden’s rich history, this book features iconic artwork and instantly recognisable images all printed on high quality paper in a square format fully endorsed and officially licenced. These amazing designs have the potential for hours of satisfying colouring in. The book revels in every detail of Iron Maiden’s iconic imagery, from their formative days as the leading light of the NWOBHM scene, all the way to the present and their continued groundbreaking success as the premier global Heavy Metal institution, still captivating millions of fans five decades into their career.
The book contains painstakingly created renderings of each image with detailed outlines ready for you to unleash your artistic skills using pens, pencils or paint. Including artwork from legendary albums such as ‘Piece of Mind’, ‘Powerslave’ and ‘Somewhere in Time’, plus images from recent touring exploits including ‘Flight 666’, ‘Legacy of the Beast’ and of course, ‘Run for Your Lives’. Channel your inner creativity and add your own interpretations of these classic images or simply recreate them as closely as you can to the originals. Whatever you decide, the satisfaction of adding your personal touch to these classic designs is extremely rewarding.
Devised and created by two lifelong rock and heavy metal devotees and colouring book fans, Rock N’ Roll Colouring was formed by fans for fans. Every effort has gone into making sure this book does justice to the legacy of Iron Maiden and their iconic figure, Eddie, painstakingly re-creating some of the most famous Heavy Metal images of all time to ensure that Maiden fans everywhere get the best creative experience possible.
Colouring has proven significant mental health benefits including mindfulness, relaxation and increased focus and can be enjoyed by any age group. These books provide hours of creative and restful activity that combines the love of the music with the love of the art.
The Iron Maiden books share a home with previous Rock N’ Roll Colouring releases including those from Cannibal Corpse, Alice Cooper, Motörhead, Judas Priest, KISS, Thin Lizzy and Megadeth.
Exactly 40 years to the day since it was first released, Parlophone Records are pleased to announce a brand new, beautifully packaged, limited collectors 2LP colour vinyl edition of IRON MAIDEN’s classic album LIVE AFTER DEATH.
Featuring the original revered gatefold sleeve artwork, the album comes with two 140g vinyls (one in blue, the other in yellow) featuring the 2015 audio remastering. The package also includes a replica 24 page World Slavery Tour programme, bringing back to life the original tour programme for new generations.
Additionally, the vinyl features a replica tour pass and a glossy 12 page booklet, which contains the original eight page booklet alongside an exclusive and brand new essay entitled Rime And Punishment: Celebrating 40 Years Of Live After Death, where Iron Maiden fan club editor Alexander Milas interviews Steve Harris, Nicko McBrain, Rod Smallwood and acclaimed illustrator Derek Riggs about the legendary album.
As Steve Harris explains of the time, “We were touring our arses off. It was literally just, ‘record, tour, record, tour’ – we didn’t stop. Rod was cracking the old whip, and that was the right thing to do. I mean, we were totally up for it, it’s not like we were doing stuff that we didn’t want to do. You think you’re invincible – ‘Yeah, we’ll take that on, no problem.’ That’s the way to crack it. It’s the only way for a band like us because we had no radio play whatsoever back then.”
Widely acclaimed as not just the greatest heavy metal live album of all time, but one of the most iconic live releases in any musical genre, LIVE AFTER DEATH was recorded mostly during the four nights that Maiden played at Los Angeles’ Long Beach Arena in March 1985. The final side of the double album was recorded during the four nights the band played at Hammersmith Odeon in October 1984.
Both sets of concerts were part of the ground-breaking World Slavery Tour, in support of the band’s 1984 album Powerslave, which started in Poland and featured 187 concerts across 331 days. The tour firmly established Iron Maiden as one of the most exciting live bands on the planet, a reputation that they carry to this day.

IRON MAIDEN have announced the first dates of a very busy schedule for 2026, starting with a summer return to Europe to predominantly play festivals and also stadiums in countries and regions not visited in 2025. The subsequent month will see the start of visits to many other parts of the world, all of which will be announced later.
The initial European dates are as below and more headline festival shows will be announced by the festivals themselves in parallel with ironmaiden.com. It’s a busy year so following this there will be no Maiden shows in 2027.
Says Steve Harris – “We are all loving this RUN FOR YOUR LIVES TOUR. The fans have been amazing, the set list is perfect for the 50th Anniversary, the show is arguably our best ever and ticket demand was incredible with pretty much everywhere sold out and over a million fans attending. So we all thought we should play some more shows in Europe before heading out to other parts of the world later in the year. Of course Simon Dawson will be joining us once again on the drummer’s stool, and both he and the whole band would like to thank our fans for the terrific reception you have given him on the first leg. We’ve always enjoyed playing festivals, especially as we get to play to people who aren’t just there for us, and we love that challenge! So we decided to revisit as many great Metal festivals as we could get to in this period. Plus we will also get to play stadiums in Greece, Romania, Slovakia and Bulgaria where we didn’t get to this year and have always loved playing to the passionate fans out there.”
Manager Rod Smallwood comments, “We were absolutely blown away by the overwhelmingly positive reaction of our fans and from across the mainstream media to the first leg of our RUN FOR YOUR LIVES TOUR. We knew we had created a special show, but the energy of all our fans at every single concert we played was picked up on by the band and I think we all experienced something really memorable, and arguably our best tour ever. Throughout our career festivals played a huge part, starting with Rock in Rio in 1985 of course, by enabling us to play in front of new fans and hopefully convert them to being Maiden fans, which, in the absence of radio or mainstream media helped enormously to increase our following. So this tour, based around most of Europe’s pre-eminent Metal fests, is also a huge thank you to those very festivals for playing such an important part in the fifty years… and counting… story of Iron Maiden.
Besides Eastern Europe we will also play some stadium shows in regions we missed in Germany (Hannover), France (Lyon-Décines) and Italy, the latter at Milan’s legendary San Siro Stadium, home of both AC and Inter Milan and we will, I am told, be the first ever Metal band to play there. It’s always great to break more new ground – even after all these years!! You will note the schedule below just says UK SHOW for July 11th and there is a good reason for that! We are working on something special for our loyal UK fans including an extension of our Eddie’s Dive Bar concept we launched last year…so watch this space!
Fans will also notice we will play Paris La Défense Arena again on Mon June 22nd after already playing two sold out nights there this year to 75,000 fans… but there is good reason for that! Yes, we know you have been asking, so we are going to film this special show for you and for posterity! We chose an indoor stadium to see the best of the production and also a great audience which we know Paris is and always has been for us. So we decided to return to Paris and hope fans there still want to see us! This will be our 31st show ever in Paris, it’s always been a bit special since we first visited there with KISS back in 1980!
Finally it was really special to see that the vast majority of our fans appreciated and respected our request to severely limit their use of phones at our concerts, ideally just keeping it in their pockets the whole time, especially in those standing areas in front of the stage. There were exceptions in a couple of places sadly but overall our fans’ understanding and cooperation made a colossal difference to the atmosphere of every show and increased the enjoyment enormously for the band and fans alike.
While we encourage our fans to follow this again at all our shows in 2026, in Paris specifically, we will be working with Yondr the company that creates phone free spaces where fans are given a secure locked pouch which allows you to keep your phone on you at all times. They will facilitate this process ultimately for the benefit of you, our wonderful fans and I am sure that, like all of us, you do not want to watch the resulting film, seeing banks of phone screens in the shot. Therefore, to help our film crew, we will make the huge floor at La Défense completely Yondr phone free so we can ensure the show – and of course all of you in the crowd – look as phenomenal as possible on camera!
In the rest of the venue we are requesting that fans once again keep their phones in their pockets and enjoy the show ‘in the moment’, rather than raise their phone in the air trying to film sections and thus inconveniencing those around them. So if a so-called fan near you thinks they are special and filming what they selfishly want please just ask them, very politely of course, to put their phone somewhere the sun doesn’t shine!
And, as I mentioned before, for all our fans outside Europe, we most definitely have not forgotten you and have some big announcements coming later for 2026. Rest assured we will be visiting as many of you as possible next year, before the band take a well-earned break from the road in 2027.”

On May 27, 2025, British metal legends IRON MAIDEN kicked off their massive Run For Your Lives world tour in Budapest – and at the same time, celebrated the band’s 50th anniversary. And what a way to start it! At the Papp László Sportaréna, the band delivered an epic setlist, a massive stage production, emotional highlights – and several classic tracks that haven’t been heard live in years.
It’s also their first tour since drummer Nicko McBrain stepped back from touring following a stroke in late 2024. His spot is now filled by Simon Dawson, a familiar face who’s also played with Steve Harris in British Lion.
Long-awaited returns: Classic songs back on stage
The setlist speaks for itself – reaching deep into the band’s legacy. Tracks like Murders in the Rue Morgue, „Killers“ and „Rime of the Ancient Mariner“ are back, after being off the setlist for years – and they hit just as hard live as ever.

Phones out? Better not – Iron Maiden want real live moments
If you know Maiden, you know it’s not just about the music – it’s about the full experience. And their latest statement on smartphone use says it loud and clear:
“We really want fans to enjoy the shows in the moment, not just through their small screens. The level of phone use nowadays takes away from the fun – for the band and for everyone else in the crowd. We hope fans understand and show respect to both the band and their fellow fans by keeping phones in their pockets. This show is a full work of art – music, Eddie, storytelling, and decades of the Maiden universe. Be part of it. Live, loud, with heart – not through a display. Have the time of your life. That’s not too much to ask, is it?”
Unlike bands like Ghost, Maiden won’t enforce a full phone ban – but the message is clear: Live means live.
Tour dates for the Upcoming concerts
The next stop is Praque on 31 May – we have listed all upcoming concerts for you here
IRON MAIDEN will commence their RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR on May 27th in Budapest followed by 31 further stadium, festival & arena shows around Europe. With over a million tickets already sold, and most shows sold out, fans are advised that additional tickets will be made available closer to the show, and on the day, with the release of venue and production holds.
The RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR marks 50 years since Steve Harris formed the band in late 1975 and to celebrate this, Maiden fans are promised a very special set list spanning the nine studio albums from Iron Maiden to Fear Of The Dark, with their most spectacular and elaborate show ever!
In keeping with that time period IRON MAIDEN are keen for everyone in the audience to experience this spectacular show as they would have when many of these songs were first played live back in the 80’s and, in common with many other artists, the band are now asking their fans not to excessively film the concerts on their phones or tablets.
Explains manager Rod Smallwood: “We really want fans to enjoy the shows first hand, rather than on their small screens. The amount of phone use nowadays diminishes enjoyment, particularly for the band who are on stage looking out at rows of phones, but also for other concertgoers. We feel that the passion and involvement of our fans at shows really makes them special, but the phone obsession has now got so out of hand that it has become unnecessarily distracting, especially to the band. I hope fans understand this and will be sensible in severely limiting the use of their phone cameras out of respect for the band and their fellow fans. We would very much like you to be ‘in the moment’ instead and be fully actively involved to enjoy each and every one of these classic songs in the spirit and manner they were first played. This show isn’t just a celebration of our music; it is, as you will see, also about our years of art, of Eddie and of the many, many worlds of Maiden we have created for you. So please respect the band, respect the other fans and have the time of your lives as you join your Maiden family by singing your heart out, rather than getting your phone out!! It’s really not a lot to ask, is it?”
The RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR is one part of IRON MAIDEN’s 50th Anniversary celebrations and will feature many fan “meet-up” events in the cities the band are playing. As was debuted successfully in Australia on the last tour, these will include Eddie’s Official Pop-up Dive Bar which will be open for pre-show and post-show gatherings in 20 cities on the tour. They will be serving Trooper Beer and Darkest Red wine, with food, exclusive merch and further entertainment. Details are available on ironmaiden.com. But please note the band will not be at these events!
Additionally, there is both a feature-length documentary film coming to cinemas worldwide later this year, via Universal Pictures Content Group, and an official hardback book providing a magnificent visual celebration of 50 years of IRON MAIDEN, being published by Thames & Hudson. More details on both of these exciting releases will be announced soon.
