ADRENALINE MOB: Announce New Bassist And European Festivals

American heavy metallers ADRENALINE MOB have recently annonced via a post on their official facebook page that John Moyer will be the new bassist of the band.

“Sending out a huge thanx to all the incredible Adrenaline Mob fans & friends for your amazing support in welcoming bassist John Moyer to our family! Myself & the guys are psyched as hell to kick off the Omerta 2012 Tour! Lookin forward to meeting each & everyone of you all around the globe!! Adrenaline Mob in 2012…Oh it’s on!! \m/ All the best!” Mike Orlando posted.

John Moyer has commented: “Mike Portnoy called me about auditioning for his new band Adrenaline Mob. He had heard through the grapevine that I was looking to stay busy while Disturbed is on hiatus. After jamming with Russ, MO, and Portnoy, the chemistry as musicians was undeniable. I am super stoked about joining “The Family” and I can’t wait to hit the road with these guys and see what kind of musical mayhem we can create!”

And also ADRENALINE MOB annonce new Europian festivals. The band will be heading out on tour in the Spring to continue the trend in support of ”Omertá” and has been added recently to Graspop Festival (Belgium) and Gods of Metal Festival (Italy) playing alongside the likes of Guns N Roses and Black Sabbath to name a few.

As prevously posted ADRENALINE MOB‘s debut full length album, “Omertá” slated for release on March 19th.

ADRENALINE MOB formed in 2011 when Orlando, who had been working on a collection of songs, approached Allen with a concept and idea for the band. Together they joined forces and refined those ideas. Allen then reached out to long-time friend Portnoy to see if he had any interest in playing with them. Portnoy jumped on-board and from the very first note, the chemistry and sound was apparent and the beast that is known as ADRENALINE MOB was born.

DISTURBED Bassist Takes Over ‘Natural Ear Music School’ In Austin

DISTURBED bassist John Moyer recently reached an agreement with Natural Ear Music founder Mike Murphy to take over and reopen Natural Ear Music School at the Music Lab at Oltorf in Austin, Texas.

Natural Ear Music School was established in 1991; it was the first school of its kind, teaching music by ear instead of using sheet music. The teachers are not your normal “music teachers” — they are working members of the Austin music scene, each with a history in the local lore, ready to pass on the tradition of live music performance to the next generation of musicians.

John started teaching at Natural Ear Music in 1999 when his first band was just getting signed. Over the past twelve years, John has played on eight major label releases and has toured the nation and the world countless times over but he always made time in his schedule to teach at Natural Ear Music.

With DISTURBED taking an extended break and the former owner (founder Michelle “Mike” Murphy) busy being mayor of Liberty Hill, Texas, it is a perfect time for John to take over the school.

“I have always loved teaching and I am amazed by the talent of today’s youth… especially in Austin,” said Moyer.
