The 20th of September 2014 will see the initial EP release for KARHU guitarist JP‘s first solo product. Although the 6 track EP named ‘Faithless’ is all his own work, the EP will go out under the The Joseph Parry Projects (JPPs) branding to encapsulate the intended collaborative nature of future works.

The tracklist consisting of; Answers, Faithless, 10, Life Without The Light, Magoove and Being Grounded, contains everything from whispers to haunting death growl harmonies alongside classic rock and ‘hair metal’ vocals, while musically visiting every corner of the Rock and Metal genres. ‘Faithless’ harbours a wide dynamic range of metal styles, showing the ‘Prog’ influences that have inspired JP thus far. Individual tracks, at times, offer ‘mini rock opera’ dynamics in both musical and vocal styling. KARHU’s clean vocalist captures raw energy and also displays his development in the art of growling on these driving, punchy offerings.
The next project, an album planned for release towards the end of 2014, will see some collaboration with other artists from the metal industry. Several comrades have expressed an interest and JP is currently writing new tracks with certain performers in mind. JP said ” I am lucky enough to be on friendly terms with a lot of the performers I look up to, it will be great to put out the music I love and playing with the people I admire”.
The digital EP will be released on Karhu’s independent ‘TheKarhuGroove’ label and is available to pre-order on http://tjpp.bandcamp.com/ giving access to the first track ‘Answers’ as a taster, with all the proceeds going into KARHU funds.
