The band comments:
This is one of the most energetic videos that we captured in our live gigs so far. That evening sharing the stage with some of the best metal acts in Lithuania was an incredible experience and we are glad to share more of those moments with the audiences worldwide. Enjoy!

Lithuanian dark metal band JUODVARNIS have shared a new live video of their song “Diena Kai Pasenau” from their performance at one of the biggest Baltic metal festivals – “Kilkim Žaibu XXI”.
The musicians co-headlined the festival’s 1st day playing before the headliners – gargantuous French act “Igorrr”. Other well-known acts that participated in this edition of “Kilkim Žaibu” were Krzysztof Drabikowski’s Batushka, Nervosa, Cruachan, Obtest, Varang Nord, Crypts of Despair.
The band also shares their thoughts on the release of the new video:
“This was an unforgettable night. After a very long lock-down we had finally returned to the stage and what a stage it was! Full-on metal festival with hundreds of people. Even heavy rain didn’t bother anyone. We are happy, that we can share this memory with all of you now. Play it loud!”

Sapiens Music teamed up with the Lithuanian dark metal band JUODVARNIS and released a different version of their song ‘Tik dulkės’ from the band’s latest album ‘Nerimo Dienos’ (EN: Days of Disquiet) in video format.
Sapiens Music describes themselves as: “a music platform collecting various talents from all over the world. We want to bring the change by showcasing inspiring music and sharing the message together with artists.”.
The main point of the project is to present various artists from an unexpectedly different angle than their audience (and even the artists themselves) are used to. The videos mainly concentrate on the vocal performances that are backed with minimalist instrumental arrangements of the original songs. Sapiens Music have already worked with a large number of artists from Lithuania, styles ranging from mainstream pop, hip hop to alternative and rock.
This is the first time that a metal band from the underground scene is chosen for this project, which is expected to be a very unusual, yet intriguing experience for both the wider audiences as well as the die-hard underground metalheads. Juodvarnis gladly accepted a challenge to rearrange their song “Tik dulkės” in a different, a very intimate way.
Vocalist Paulius comments: “This was a unique experience for me. I am not used to perform without a band and guitar in my hands. Also this new arrangement pushed all focus to the vocals, so I had to do my very best to make this composition work. It was challenging, but I am really happy with the result!“

Album “Nerimo Dienos” (Days of Disquiet) was recorded in Sound Division Studio in Riga, Latvia, and Muzlab Studio in Vilnius, Lithuania. Mixing done in Muzlab Studio. Mastering by Tony Lindgren (Enslaved, Dimmu Borgir, Sepultura, Leprous) at Fascination Street Studios in Orebro, Sweden. The album has been released on 28th of Aug, 2020 via Lithuanian label Dangus.
Lithuanian dark metal band JUODVARNIS share another single and video from their performance at MJR Kaukynės XXI½ festival. The band presented their newest album “Nerimo Dienos” (‘Days of Disquiet’) by headlining the main scene of the festival on 28th of August, 2020.
The video shows band playing the last album’s track called “Trys”, which is a cover version of an old song written by Andrius Mamontovas – one of the most popular Lithuanian pop/alternative rock musicians (released in 1998 on album “Šiaurės Naktis. Pusė Penkių.”). It was the only time this cover version was performed live so far. The single can be also found on Spotify, Apple Music and other main streaming platforms.
Band comments: “Even though the last year has highly impacted the cultural life worldwide, we managed to release a new album as well as to present it in a few amazing live shows in Lithuania. We have received a lot of great comments about our interpretation of the song “Trys” and we are really grateful that Andrius gave us permission to re-arrange and record it. This is a very emotional and tearful song which perfectly merges with the feel of other album tracks and closes it.
The ongoing pandemic still limits the opportunities for musicians to meet their fans. At the same time we understand that a lot of our listeners did not have a chance to visit “MJR Kaukynės” festival and experience this song live. Due to this, we decided to share it in a different way – by releasing a new single along with a music video. We hope it will brighten these days of disquiet for you. Stay safe and healthy. Let’s meet in the future shows once this is possible!”

Lithuanian dark metallers JUODVARNIS closed the year 2020 by sharing a video from their performance at MJR Kaukynės XXI½ festival. The band presented their newest album “Nerimo Dienos” (‘Days of Disquiet’) by headlining the main scene of the festival on 28th of August, 2020. The video shows band playing the 2nd track from the new album – “Iš amžių šaknų”.
The band also shares thoughts with their audience about the passing year 2020:
This year will be engraved deep in our memories. We all had to learn to live differently and most common things became almost or completely impossible. But we are able to adapt, endure and move forward.
It has been a unique year for us as a band. ‘Nerimo dienos’ took a lot of work and attention, but it was a magnificent feeling to close this cycle. Never before have we received such great feedback for our work. We are also very happy that in this difficult time we were able to play just a few, but amazing shows. We’d like to share one of those moments with you right now!
We present a live version of ‘Iš amžių šaknų’. Recorded and filmed at MJR XXI½ Festival. Let’s remember that marvelous night!
We wish for the coming year to be lighter and for all your sorrows and hardships to be left behind. We hope to see you soon!
