KÄRBHOLZ have released the new single “Chaos” from the new studio album “Kapitel 10: Wilde Augen”, coming out on June 2nd via Metalville Records.
Want a bit of punk rock? Deep lyrics and reading between the lines? Then you’re in the wrong place. With “Chaos” there is nothing more or less than a good time with friends.
No rules, no boundaries. Nothing that separates us but a lot that connects us. “A life like in the circle pit”. And tomorrow morning? Maybe we’ll wake up, be a little less grown up, a little less dogged. A little more childlike in nature. Unformed by crude principles.

KÄRBHOLZ have released the new single “Halte Fest” from the new studio album “Kapitel 10: Wilde Augen” (Metalville Records – street date June 2nd).
Here comes the most metal song Kärbholz has ever produced: “Halte Fest”. Intensive but also conciliatory, the song considers the thesis: Is there this one big, groundbreaking situation in our lives? Or is it not up to us after each step where our further journey leads? “What I would give for a moment with myself 20 years ago…” What would I say to myself?
The official video for “Halte fest” can be watched below.

The new KÄRBHOLZ studio album “Kapitel 10: Wilde Augen” will be released on June 2nd by Metalville Records.
What? Kärbholz again? Wasn’t it just „Kapitel 11: BARRIKADEN“; and now again? Who got it wrong?
A well-calculated promotional campaign or a total mathematical failure? In the house of Kärbholz, the creative spark seems to have started a conflagration with the first lockdown. Wait and see what time will bring, but don’t waste it was the credo and so the band not only composed material for a longplayer last year. No, songs for two full albums were created; all relevant and none that could have been parted with.
The only way for Kärbholz: Double In, Double Out.
The songs that were written in one episode were split between the two albums before production started: „Kapitel 10“ and „Kapitel 11“. And it was exactly in this order that the final recordings took place together with producers Alexander Dietz and Eike Freese. Week after week they lived and worked together. „Kapitel 10: WILDE AUGEN“ was finished – half-time – and off to production.
It continued with „Kapitel11: BARRIKADEN“ and exactly the moment when everything should change…
During the final studio phase for what was actually the second album “Kapitel11: BARRIKADEN”, this feeling spread… this feeling that everyone had, but no one dared:
This second album is actually the perfect FIRST album. These are actually the songs with which one wants to and should step out of the silence, which simply imposed themselves for this.
„Kapitel 10: WILDE AUGEN“ is more rudimentary and boisterous. It is the naughty brother with the torn trousers. But it is also the musical link between today and yesterday, perhaps most reminiscent of the 2009 album „RASTLOS“.
But what to do? „Kapitel 10: WILDE AUGEN“ was already produced. The vinyl was already on the table. And on it was written: KAPITELTEN! Irrefutable and irreversible. And even if no one here is considered a mathematical prodigy, 10 comes BEFORE 11.
But how was it a few years ago… “Always more heart than mind…”?
So what the hell! You know „Kapitel 11“? Then get to know „Kapitel 10 WILDE AUGEN“.
These eyes are hungry, want more and go round in circles… so in the end they don’t care… that little bit of maths.

KÄRBHOLZ present the official video for “Gar nichts”, the new single from the upcoming new studio album “Kapitel 11: Barrikaden” coming out via Metalville Records on March 24th.
The last single before the new album “Kapitel 11: Barrikaden” finally sees the light of day on 24 March. A few more “graceful” sounds have found their way onto the new album, which we don’t want to withhold from you. But of course: lyrically and musically there’s a punch in the face at the end. It’s like a good boxing match…take it slowly and when the guard is down, send it to the floor with a beautiful left haymaker!
KÄRBHOLZ – Kapitel 11: “Barrikaden”
It will be 18 years in 2023 for the 4 friends of KÄRBHOLZ from the tranquil town of Ruppichteroth in Western Germany.
Some people might think that at some point the wear and tear must show. Not at all. Because: the forced break of the past two years was by no means just a stroke of bad luck for Torben (vocals), Adrian (guitar), Stefan (bass) and Henning (drums). True to the motto “The break is also part of the music!”, the time was used to catch their breath, recharge and creatively come together and reunite in the rehearsal room. Once again, the four guys were supported by the producer team Eike Freese (Chameleon Studios) and Alexander Dietz (Heaven Shall Burn, Chemical Burn Studios).
On Kapitel 11: “Barrikaden” you can hear 11 pieces. Songs that tell stories from life, sometimes in a small, sometimes in a big way. The opener and namesake BARRIKADEN, which questions entrenched social structures and interpersonal beliefs with a hard metal edge. The vehement RAUBTIER, which tries to reawaken the same. UNTER FERNER LIEFEN… “always me and my mind”. An ode to one’s own irrationality. Or also the brute EINS GEGEN EIN, which longs for peace with itself, comes to the conclusion that in the battle with itself – unfortunately – there is usually no winner, before it betrays its true, all-encompassing intention in the end. These are some examples that make clear where KÄRBHOLZ have their musical influences. There’s more “Killswitch Engage” in here than “Die Toten Hosen”. That makes it hard to pigeonhole the songs.
But of course, not all that glitters is metal. The musical range of the album is proven by songs like the poem DER ZUG set to music, the “almost crossover” brawler MUT GEGEN PERSPEKTIVE or GAR NICHTS, which alternates between bittersweet harmonies and rigorous reckoning with false friends.
KÄRBHOLZ – Kapitel 11: “Barrikaden” is a good 40-minute musical journey through the various corners of the KÄRBHOLZ cosmos, but without ever losing itself. An album that usually only reveals its musical complexity at second glance, but in the end leaves you feeling good and sends you on another journey of discovery.
Kapitel 11: “Barrikaden” will be released on CD, vinyl, as a fan box and digitally.

KÄRBHOLZ have released the official video for their new single “Seele Auf Der Haut”. Watch the video below.
For one day, the four band members had all their tattoos covered up by means of an elaborate make-up procedure in order to find out: How does it feel to be so naked? Without all the colourful decorative scars on the skin that tell so much of the past, make so many moments everlasting and look so damn good?! They explored the questions: How do the tattooed live? What is the courtship and mating behaviour of these naked creatures and what do they feed on? Are the common rumours and prejudices about the social behaviour of this species true and how can we learn from each other?
After the filming, singer Torben Höffgen said: “When I saw myself in the mirror for the first time, so naked, so fragile, without my protective pigments, I was deeply frightened. I was ashamed. But maybe, and this is what the experiment proved, because I simply didn’t know anything about this colourless way of life and I had to admit to myself that I had a lot of prejudices.” Drummer Henning Münch added, visibly moved: “When I saw myself like this, I couldn’t help thinking of my childhood and I also cried a little.”
See for yourself how the experiment developed and what drastic changes it set in motion in the psyche of the four protagonists. The occasion for this experiment is the release of the song “Seele Auf Der Haut”. A hymn to the tattooed lifestyle that many of us live.

KÄRBHOLZ present the official video for “Unter ferner liefen”, the second single from the upcoming new studio album “Kapitel 11: Barrikaden” (Metalville Records – street date 24.03.2023).
„Unter ferner liefen schon immer ich und mein Verstand.“ A confrontation with the demon within us that keeps us falling into the same trap. In the endorphin rush we believe we are invincible, even immortal. Until our spirit slaps us in the face and says: “How could you do it again? But with time we make peace with this demon. We hold our own in this balancing act between euphoria and pain, between happiness and suffering. The last will be the first? Well, at least they’ll cross the finish line. And anyway, why always be first? It’s lonely there. An ode to irrationality.
