For almost three decades, the US/French Canadian-based melodic death metal syndicate KATAKLYSM, has delivered unapologetic waves of powerful sound across the entire globe. Today, the band offer fans a new track entitled, ‘The Rabbit Hole‘.

With a brutal honesty and relentless force, it rips through the illusion of control and dares listeners to wake up, fight back, and resist. A soundtrack for the disillusioned—unapologetic and unrelenting. The song featuresClemens Wijers (CARACH ANGREN) who curated the tracks ambient sound effects and synth section.

KATAKLYSM‘S Maurizio Iacono states,  “‘The Rabbit hole’ is the bands first stand alone single since the bands classic ‘Iron will’ track. As the world spins out of control and people search for purpose and truth, we felt questioning these things is something important to do, theres a lot of noise and lots of distortion these days, but always  trust your gut and what is right vs what is forced fed, so why not put these thoughts to music, so while we wait for the next record, we decided to drop this heavy hitter, spread it an enjoy!”

The single was recorded earlier this year at JFD Studios in Dallas, TX and Studio City, CA as well as The Cabin in Orlando, FL and Silver Black Studio, Laval, QC, Canada. ‘The Rabbit Hole‘ was produced, mixed, and mastered by the band’s very own J-F Dagenais.

This spring, Death Metal fans will be treated to an epic night of music on the ‘Cancer Culture Over North America 2024‘ tour. KATAKLYSM will be direct support to labelmates DECAPITATED  and  SEPTICFLESH on their 30-day co-billing trek. The tour will commence on April 16th in Santa Ana and will make stops in Atlanta, Toronto, and Minneapolis before concluding in Los Angeles on May 19th. Joining the bands as openers are technical melodic death metal band ALLEGAEON.

The cover artwork required an image that captured the iconic battle of David versus Goliath theme that is echoed throughout the album while matching the power of the music. The band enlisted renowned Berlin metal illustrator Eliran Kantor (TESTAMENT, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE) to create the artwork which took the KATAKLYSM look and gave it a macabre filter that compliments the brooding sense of uneasiness that was felt during the writing and recording of the album.

After conquering the stages of international festivals this summer with their outstanding and captivating live show, Canadian death metal outfit KATAKLYSM are now pleased to announce their return to Europe next year with more extensive touring, bringing their latest masterpiece Goliath to the masses. Today, the band have announced the dates of their Europe vs Goliath tour that will see the four-piece hitting the road in spring 2024.

The lineup will be completed by Italian symphonic death metal virtuosos FLESHGOD APOCALPYSE and German slam death metal group STILLBIRTH.
