REVERSION, hailing from Helsinki, Finland has made a publishing deal with Legacy-records from Germany. Legacy-records will re-release band’s debut album, King of Deceit, on vinyl. Also they will release Reversions’ last year successor, Obscene, on CD, which was at the time released only digitally. And as we speak, Reversion is composing new material for the third, yet unnamed, album. Says guitarist Samuli: “The new material will be quite something. Our playing chops as well as composing and arranging skills has been honed to perfection over the years and I’m thrilled about the new stuff. It will be challenging for players as well as listeners: heavy, fast, melodic, light and groovy but most of all a pleasure to your ears.”

Third album will be released also through Legacy-records and the plans are to release the album during 2013.

On the more dull note, Reversion and its former vocalist Aleksi has parted their ways in this exciting journey. After Aleksi moved to Germany, the collaboration proved to be too difficult. The rest of the band thanks Aleksi for the past years and wishes all the great things in the future.

As mentioned above, the players have changed over the years but now the bands composition has evolved to an entity that is not restricted by earthly or intangible barriers and operates in its own dimension where everything is possible. The new vocalist for Reversion is Mari M! Vocal extraordinaire was known to band for a long time and as true professional was the perfect choice. Mari M. is best known for singing background vocals for Amorphis’ 2012 tour and also for the next Amorphis record “Circle”. With her contribution, Reversion will again take a huge leap forward in terms of musicality and diversity. “No, we are not changing to any Nightwishian style, as growls and screams will stay as integral part of Reversion sound as well as beautiful and fragile melodic singing”, says Mari M!
