Swedish garage rock trio Liar Thief Bandit is back! Since the release of their acclaimed 2022 mini-album “Diamonds,” the band has toured extensively and has shared stages with notable Swedish rock acts like Graveyard and The Hellacopters. In the summer of 2023, they performed on Sweden’s largest music festival, Sweden Rock Festival. Now, they’re set to release their fourth studio album “ICON”, blending everything you would ever wish for in a melodic rock record. The album, which will be released on the 24th of May on black vinyl, transparent orange vinyl, and on digital formats, is available now as pre-order via The Sign Records.

“Diamonds” is the brand new mini-album by LIAR THIEF BANDIT. Following the group’s latest, third studio album “Deadlights”, the Swedish power trio returns with 7 new tracks. Unifying classic rock and Scandinavian garage rock with a fresh and vigorous approach to the genre, “Diamonds” offers catchy, straight forward, and honest rock music at it’s very finest. Memorable hooks and storytelling lyrics are presented with a dynamic blend of electrifying twin guitar arrangements, tight, punchy drums, and thundering bass lines. “Diamonds” includes 6 original tracks, as well as a cover of Graveyard’s 2011 hit “Ain’t Fit to Live Here”.

Diamonds takes off where Deadlights ends. The sound and lyrics follow the same theme and feel as its predecessor but with additional reflections and new views on self-realization. A troubled mind finding keys to push forward surrounded by roaring guitars, pounding drums and fierce vocals.

“Diamonds” was recorded at Tilt Recording Studios in Strömstad, Sweden. The mini-album is produced by Max Dahlby (Åskväder, The Drippers and Scumbag Millionaire) and Liar Thief Bandit, Mixed by William Grube, and mastered by Jonas Siöström. “Diamonds” is released on The Sign Records on the 16th of September on all streaming platforms, white vinyl, green vinyl, and CD. Liar Thief Bandit release the fifth single from their upcoming mini-album “Diamonds”. “Peace with Disaster” is an intense classic rock track featuring electrifying twin guitar melodies and uplifting vocals. Besides the new single, the Swedish power trio also confirms new live dates.

Peace with Disaster is a song about hitting rock bottom, realizing it and taking the first steps toward a new era. It was written in a changing time emotionally, in between a definite ending and a new beginning in life. If there’s any message to be delivered with this song, it would be that it’s sometimes important to admit defeat to be able to gather strength to carry on with an optimistic state of mind. Hope is the last thing that leaves us!

Swedish power trio LIAR THIEF BANDIT shares the fourth single from their upcoming mini-album. “Diamonds (Are Made Under Pressure)” is a feel-good rock track with uplifting choruses and vibrant riffs. The track continues on a theme presented on the band’s latest album “Deadlights” (2021). Mike from the band explains:

“Diamonds (Are Made Under Pressure) is a love song and a continuation of Catch and Release from the Deadlights album. ‘Catch’ was about meeting someone new in an untimely way, ‘Diamonds’ is about nourishing what that relationship has grown to be. Dare to believe in the happiness you feel and you’ll find it easier to enjoy the present!“

Sweden’s LIAR THIEF BANDIT launch the third single from their upcoming mini-album. “The Art of Losing Battles” shoots straight into the familiar intense and energetic feel that supporters of the band and the genre have grown to love. A raw setting with catchy melodies and honest lyrics are topped off with a raging guitar solo followed by the three musicians kicking it into an even higher gear.
