AS I LAY DYING Premiere Lyric Video For New Song ‘Cauterize’

AS I LAY DYING have premiered a lyric video for their new song “Cauterize.” This news comes as the San Diego based rock group is about to head on the road for the Rockstar Mayhem Festival. Fans can expect to see the band–renowned for delivering explosive live performances—all summer long on the Mayhem Festival alongside select U.S. solo dates (see full itinerary below). AS I LAY DYING will release their new album AWAKENED September 24 on Metal Blade. For the album, the band–NICK HIPA (guitar), TIM LAMBESIS (vocals), JORDAN MANCINO (drums), PHIL SGROSSO (guitar) and JOSH GILBERT (bass)—teamed with renowned rock producer Bill Stevenson, who’s also the drummer for Descendents (and has played with Black Flag); and mixer Colin Richardson at the Blasting Room in Fort Collins, CO.

AWAKENED marks the follow-up the Decas EP (2011) which reached # 2 on the iTunes Rock Chart. The group’s last LP, 2010’s immensely successful The Powerless Rise debuted on the Billboard Top 200 at #10. The Powerless Rise also reached #2 on Billboard’s Independent Albums Chart and #3 on Billboard’s Hard Music Albums Chart.

SIX FEET UNDER: New “18 Days” Lyric Video

Today premier horror portal Bloody Disgusting hosts the latest “18 Days” lyric video from death metal merchants, SIX FEET UNDER. The apocalyptic hymn comes off the band’s forthcoming new studio effort, Undead, set for UK release on May 21, 2012 through Metal Blade Records.

Notorious for his elegiac themes of murder, death and the supernatural, on Undead vocalist and lyrical mastermind Chris Barnes revisits topics that will be familiar to fans of the band, though as always he brings something new to the table, aware that their followers will not accept recycled ideas. Notes Barnes: “The hypocrisies of daily life, things that affect us that spawn aggression, loneliness, sadness, there’s a lot of emotions going on across the record, and I guess that the dark horror that humans cause is my niche,” However, while Barnes has a very clear vision for his craft, he is always excited by the interpretations of his songs by those who listen to them, feeding on the emotional investment they put in. “I love it when people tell me what they’ve got from the music and the lyrics. It’s like being an artist, you put the painting up on the wall – youknow what it is, but sometimes it’s a little abstract and someone sees something else in it, and that’s the biggest compliment to me. That I’m able to get inside someone’s head and they actually give thought to something presented to them is inspiring to me too, and something I always want to be able to do with this band.”

Undead was produced by Mark Lewis (Deicide, Devildriver), mixed by Jason Suecof (Whitechapel, Job For A Cowboy), at Audio Hammer Studios in Sanford, Florida and features the updated lineup of Barnes alongside guitarist Rob Arnold (ex- Chimaira), longtime guitarist Steve Swanson (ex-Massacre), bassist Jeff Hughell (ex-Brain Drill, ex-Vile), and drummer Kevin Talley (Dying Fetus, Misery Index, Chimaira). The official “lyric video” for “Reborn”, a brand new song from New York hardcore metal legends BIOHAZARD, can be seen below. The track comes off the band’s much-anticipated new album, “Reborn In Defiance”, which will be released in Europe on January 20 via Nuclear Blast.

Not only is “Reborn In Defiance” BIOHAZARD‘s first original lineup album in 18 years, but it also marks the last album recorded by the band before the departure of bassist and co-vocalist Evan Seinfeld. The effort remains a testament to the four founding members (Billy Graziadei, Bobby Hambel, Evan Seinfeld and Danny Schuler) and their unique chemistry.

Having last recorded and toured as the fundamental lineup with the release of “State Of The World Address” back in 1994, BIOHAZARD reformed with all four original members back in 2008 to commemorate the band’s 20th anniversary. They went back out on the road together over the next two years, during which time inspiration struck.

The legendary Toby Wright (ALICE IN CHAINS, METALLICA, SEVENDUST, KORN) was brought in to produce the 13-track “Reborn In Defiance”, which was recorded in Los Angeles.

BIOHAZARD has sold over five million albums worldwide since its formation in the late Eighties in Brooklyn, New York. They achieved international success with their albums “Urban Discipline” on Roadrunner Records in 1992 and 1994’s “State of the World Address” on Warner Brothers. Over the years, BIOHAZARD has collaborated with ONYX, CYPRESS HILL, AGNOSTIC FRONT, HATEBREED, PANTERA, and TYPE O NEGATIVE, among others. The band has continued to tour nationally and internationally, sharing stages with HOUSE OF PAIN, OZZY OSBOURNE, SLAYER, DANZIG, FEAR FACTORY, SEPULTURA and AGNOSTIC FRONT.

The official lyric video for “Ghost Walking”, a brand new song from Richmond, Virginia metallers LAMB OF GOD, can be seen below. The track comes off the band’s new album, “Resolution”, which will be released in North America on January 24, 2012 via Epic Records (one day earlier internationally through Roadrunner Records).
