Ukrainian modern metal frontrunners JINJER return with an indignant rage – chock full of confidence and wrath.
Today, JINJER occupies your sanity with a new music video for the hard-hitting epos “Noah“, off of their latest chart-breaking juggernaut Macro.
In a vortex of clean vocals, vibrant growls and blazing drums JINJER bends the progressive metal horizon. Accompanying an artful audiovisual featuring stormy, tumultuous and disturbing yet comforting imagery, JINJER draws the viewer into a parallel universe.
Today, the band releases the video through the official channels. Watch the video HERE!
Commented the band’s bassist Eugene Abdukhanov: “Tatiana wrote “Noah” from the point of view of what if he did not succeed in perpetuating Life on Earth? Looks like we might find out sooner than we think! Times are scarier, tougher and stranger than ever. Our/your livelihood and everything we know and cherish are on the verge being swept away by a storm like nothing we’ve faced before. Will we have our own modern day Ark? Will we manage to jump on board in time or has it already set sail? What will be left over after it‘s all said and done? These questions are torturing all of us right now and the future is disturbingly uncertain. But we will survive and will get through this, like we did during so many dark times before. Together. Strong and revitalized with a much better understanding of what we are.”

In the midst of the global Covid-19 pandemic and with music fans confined to their homes, Ukrainian modern metal frontrunners JINJER bring live madness to your screens with the release of the official live video for crushing song “Pit Of Consciousness” from their globally acclaimed album Macro.
The video was filmed during the band’s captivating performance in Kiev in 2019 by Oleg Rooz (Suicidal Tendencies, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Enter Shikari).
Commented bass player Eugene Abdukhanov: “Back when we recorded this show we were on the tail end of a 6 month tour and somewhere in between all that madness we managed to write and record Macro… it was an extremely stressful time. But it was one of the most positive times of our lives. Things right now look pretty grim and no one knows what will happen next. We want to release this video with the hopes of letting people know that no matter how crazy, confusing and scary things get – BETTER TIMES are on the way. Let’s use the time at home in isolation to take a good look inside and learn about our true selves…”

JINJER just released their newest modern metal milestone, Macro, on Friday, and there’s no stopping them now – their gripping third official video for the track “Pit Of Consciousness” is out today. The video, presented in full black and white, emphasizes the inner dissension pictured as the narrators “Pit of Consciousness” – lifted musically by a demanding rhythm between punishing riffs, Eugene’s distinctive base lines and Vlad’s intense drumming. Together with Tatiana’s impressive voice, the song pushes the genre to the next level..
Watch “Pit of Consciousness” below.
“I keep on losing the keys from reality And now I’m passing on the wheel to insanity”
Eugene on “Pit Of Consciousness”:
“This is a song that can be applied to each of us in the band. Living a life at a full pace after years of touring, have we accidentally let someone else into our heads and become foreigners to ourselves? Holding on to the hope that we can keep those doors shut …”
Devastating riffs, aggressive vocals, powerful melodies and astonishingly deep lyrics are what make MacroJINJER’s most advanced and undeniable album yet – taking the listener on a journey of trauma, power struggle and greed with a progressive groove metal backdrop.
While January 2019’s Micro EP proved to be a short exercise in madness and technical brilliance, fans still aren’t prepared for what JINJER has in store with the absolutely unbridled Macro. Defying all boundaries, the aptly titled opening track, “On the Top”, features the band`s eclectic trademarks and obeys one law only – their own. Frontwoman Tatiana Shmayluk defines the unique character of the Ukrainian act with menacing whispers, enthralling clean vocals and brutal growls whilst lethally groovy riff cascades melt into twisted songwriting. There is space for a microscopic bit of reggae “Judgement (& Punishment)” in all the heaviness, the double bass is beautifully out of control on “Pausing Death”, and technically superior tracks like “Home Back” defy gravity.
JINJER says about Macro: “Going from small things to bigger ones is the natural order of things, and we’ve paved a path from Micro to Macro, carrying the weight of feelings, emotions and experience. This is a monumental point in the story of JINJER, the quintessence of what makes us what we are now as the people and as a band. We are proud of every single note sung and played on Macro and can’t wait for you to give it a listen!”

Ukrainian modern metal frontrunners JINJER have returned with a vengeance! Today, JINJER turns heads with a new music video for the gut-punching anthem “On The Top”. Never failing to deliver an unforgettable hook, “On The Top” slinks along a punishing groove before soaring into melodic passages – just another example of what listeners can expect to be met with on the band’s upcoming full-length album, Macro, out October 25, 2019 via Napalm Records.
“While one is climbing, the rest is falling down in the name of profit – Is it lonely on the top?”
JINJER says about “On The Top”:
“Have you ever felt like a rat in a rat race? It seems like the world is spinning faster and faster every single day and everyone is going crazy searching for this thing called success. However, we tend to forget that real happiness has nothing to do with it- not a career, achievements, money etc. Is it really worth climbing up the ladder just to be ON to the TOP if there is nothing or no one there for you in the end? It’s OK to want to be the best you can possibly be but just remember that success has its price but it’s up to you to decide how much you are willing to pay for it. It’s your choice to make but your burden to bare …”

We are proud of every single note sung and played on “MACRO” and can’t wait for you to give it a listen!”
In addition to announcing the release of their new album, JINJER have released a new single and official video, entitled “Judgement (& Punishment)”. “How many times have we reacted harshly to something just because we simply do not understand it? It seems like there is an innate human trait in all of us, when there is something unknown or unfamiliar that we tend to question the substance, to attack and finally to destroy it … just like primitive apes. But when it strikes back it might be too much to bare. Every action causes a reaction. Judgement (& Punishment) is a reaction. Just keep that in mind.”

In less than 10 years, the four-piece progressive groove metal wrecking machine known as JINJER have carved their very own place in the heavy metal landscape and are poised to go even further in 2019 and beyond. Hailing from Donetsk, this Ukrainian musical oddity formed in 2009 but consider the official start of the band with the addition of the incredible vocalist and femme fatale, Tatiana Shmailyuk, in 2010. Since then, JINJER have been nominated and won the Best Ukranian Metal Act award for Best Ukrainian Metal Band multiple times.
This year’s Micro EP was received with open arms by fans and critics alike, climbed to the top of many industry charts and radio station lists worldwide and once again showcased the musical depth and songwriting talent of the band, as well as Tatiana’s amazing vocal range. The band will build upon these successes with Macro.
