The iconic radio station TotalRock, launched in 2000 by Tommy Vance and a bunch of rock music visionaries, will be back on the air on Monday January 20th, broadcasting 24/7 from its new home at ‘The Cape Of Good Hope’ in Central London.
TotalRock pioneered the concept of a specialist rock radio station in the UK, and established an enviable reputation for launching the careers of bands and DJ’s alike.
An acclaimed feature of the original station was all day mini-festivals called TotalFest, and on Wednesday January 29th and Thursday January 30th, we celebrate the return of TotalRock with two ‘TotalFest Unplugged’ events. A 3 band bill each night will be headlined respectively by LITTLE ANGELS frontman Toby Jepson and THE TREATMENT playing acoustic sets before an invited audience. These filmed performances will be aired live by the station and streamed live on the new TotalRockTV channel from 8pm.
The new station will actively support the best new UK rock and metal bands by offering exposure to their music and interviews on its Radio and TV and social media platforms.
Programme Director Tony Wilson and Managing Editor Malcolm Dome are supported by a 25 strong team of passionate and dedicated presenters a number of whom have been with the station since it started.
