Big Swede’s Rock Project REFURBISHED has released “Only Want The Best – Behind The Scenes” Video, check it out below. The video gives a glimpse into the process of making the album ‘Refurbished – Only Want The Best’, which was released September 23rd, 2014.

Producer/artist Big Swede’s rock project ‘Refurbished’ released an album, ‘Only Want The Best,’ on September 23rd, 2014. There is a short behind the scenes video being released today, aptly titled ‘Refurbished – Only Want The Best – Behind The Scenes’.

“ I wanted to give people a glimpse into the process of making the album and at the same time give them an introduction to the project,” says Big Swede.

The album features 17 hi-profile guests. Most of it was recorded at Big Swede Studios, located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. There were a few vocal tracks recorded in Stockholm, Sweden and one in Rio, Brazil.

“ It was great that we were able to put together this video, showing the wide spectrum of personalities performing on the record. It was a blast having each and every one of them coming by and recording their parts. There was a lot of great energy in the studio,” continues Big Swede.

Refurbished guests

The album consists of 13 tracks in a straight ahead, full throttle rock vein.

As we previously reported, Roberto Tiranti has left LABYRINTH, now the band has announced a new singer, Mark Boals, to its ranks. Read below:

“As everybody already knows, Roberto has decided to part ways with the band in order to start his solo career. We wish him all the best and we thank him for the long walk we have had together. At the same time “the show must go on”, as somebody said, and the good news is that we have started working on the new album. ARTICAL Featuring Mark Boals Ink Deal With Pitch Black Records

Pitch Black Records has announced the addition of Greek power metal act ARTICAL to its artist roster. Illusion X is the band’s third album and it features legendary vocalist Mark Boals (YNGWIE J. MALMSTEEN, RING OF FIRE among many others). According to a press release, “this is an album full of power and melodic passages, complemented by symphonic elements with mind-blowing performances by musicians whose skills are undisputedly of the highest caliber!”

Formed in 2002, by guitarist/drummer Mike Dimareli, Article have gradually refined their sound to a more mature and fresh sound that can only be described as powerful and immense yet very melodic.

Illusion X is scheduled for release worldwide on November 12th on CD and digital.

According to vocalist RONNY MUNROE (METAL CHURCH), Voices Of Metal will take place on March 30th at The House Of Rock in White Marsh, MD. The event will feature three sets from NEIL TURBIN (DEATHRIDERS, ex-ANTHRAX), Mark Boals (ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) and Munroe.

Ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN Singer MARK BOALS To Guest On New ADRIAN GALYSH Album

Guitarist Adrian Galysh, whose previous releases have been mainly instrumental fare, has enlisted former YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, ROYAL HUNT and ULI JON ROTH singer Mark Boals to contribute vocals to Adrian‘s new album. While the CD is currently in pre-production, listeners can still expect Galysh‘s tasteful guitar work, with hard rock and world music influences, to be heard throughout.

Described as “a virtuoso of modern electric and acoustic guitar techniques” by 20th Century Guitar magazine, Galysh has been dazzling southern California audiences for over a decade, whether he’s backed by his band or as sideman for ex-SCORPIONS guitar legend Uli Jon Roth.

Boals, whose career started with stints in SAVOY BROWN and TED NUGENT, is noted most for his vocal work with neoclassical guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen, appearing on four studio albums, including the hard rock classic “Trilogy”.

Galysh and Boals have worked together before, performing in Uli Jon Roth‘s band during a 2011 tour. Galysh says of the opportunity to write and record with Boals, “Mark Boals is one of my all-time favorite singers. I clearly remember first hearing him on Yngwie‘s ‘Trilogy’ album, and being blown away by how strong and unique his voice was. I’ve been fortunate to have been able to perform with both my favorite guitarist, Uli Jon Roth, as well as favorite vocalist, Mark Boals, and am thrilled to have him on my new record.”

Galysh‘s new album, tentatively titled “Tone Poet”, is expected to be released in the summer.

Mark Boals (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, TED NUGENT), Roy Z (JUDAS PRIEST, HALFORD, BRUCE DICKINSON) and Bobby Rondinelli (RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH) have joined forces in a new “supergroup called COMMUNION.

According to a posting on the site, COMMUNION is “the new supergroup of grounded, seasoned, professional rock stars who have come together to share in the purpose of mass participation in life.”
