Florida based legendary death metallers MASSACRE have made a crushing come-back to the metal scene with their new album “Back From Beyond” (out on March 24 via Century Media), returning to their roots of the early 90’s trademark sound, old school at its purest form and stronger than ever. Long in the past are the times of several line up changes, disagreements and reunions, today MASSACRE is literally Back From Beyond, ready to take care of unfinished business from 23 years ago.

Only a couple of days ago Tarja Virmakari had a long interesting chat with MASSACRE guitarist Rick Rozz. He spoke at length about “Back From Beyond”, also revealing many interesting details about the band’s past and latest decision to get back together in 2011, and their immediate record deal with Century Media. Rick discussed the many positive coincidences along the way, which lead MASSACRE to where they are today, ready to kick off to tours with Back From Beyond, while already preparing material for the next album. MASSACRE: Streaming New Album “Back From Beyond”

Death Metal pioneers MASSACRE have recently returned to the spotlight with their first studio album effort in almost 20 years…and “Back From Beyond” is now available worldwide. The entire standard version of the album is available as stream via the website of Guitar World magazine.

MASSACRE checked in with the following comment on “Back From Beyond”: “We are very proud of Back From Beyond. All the hard work over the past year from Massacre & Century Media is reaching its apex today. We believe fans old and new are going to enjoy this slab of Florida Death Metal!!!”

Death metal legends MASSACRE have returned with their first studio album, “Back From Beyond,” effort in almost 20 years. The band have recently posted ‘Shield Of The Son‘ song, which can be heard on the Soundcloud player below:

Terry Butler (bass) comments: “We chose ‘Shield Of The Son’ because it’s a song that is further into the album. This gives our fans a good idea of the strength of the album. It showcases what MASSACRE is all about: catchy, riffy, brutal Florida Death Metal!!!”

MASSACRE: Premieres New Video For “Back From Beyond” Via Terrorizer.com

Death metal legends MASSACRE have returned with their first studio album effort in almost 20 years! Due out March 24th in Europe and April 1st in North America via Century Media Records, this new album, “Back From Beyond”, is “pure Florida death metal, the way it was meant to be played from the Sunshine State” (DECIBEL MAGAZINE.com). The video for “Back From Beyond” was directed by Doug Cook (www.dougcook.ca) and animated by Nick Johnson and Ryder McLean. Terry Butler (bass) comments: “MASSACRE is very proud of the ‘Back From Beyond’ video. It has a nice campy horror vibe, yet at the same time is cutting edge, and we think it can connect with a variety of audiences. Doug Cook did an amazing job with this one!!!”

Legendary Florida Death Metal pioneers MASSACRE return with their first studio album effort in almost 20 years! Programmatically entitled “Back From Beyond”, the album will be released on March 24th, 2014 in Europe and April 1st, 2014 in North America via Century Media Records. In order to allow a first impression of their upcoming album, MASSACRE are now premiering the merciless song “As We Wait To Die” via the website of UK’s Terrorizer Magazine. Check it out here.

“Back From Beyond”, which sees MASSACRE successfully returning to the roots of their early 90’s trademark sound, was recorded and mixed by Tim Vazquez of CGM Studios, Florida, and features original MASSACRE members Rick Rozz (Guitars, ex Mantas / Death), Terry Butler (Bass, Obituary, ex Death / Six Feet Under) as well as Ed Webb (Vocals, ex Diabolic / Eulogy) and Mike Mazzonetto (Drums, ex Pain Principle). “Back From Beyond” comes with cover artwork by Toshihiro Egawa (Cryptopsy, Krisiun, Devourment, etc.) and will contain the following tracklisting in its standard edition CD and LP edition:

MASSACRE, who most recently released the limited edition “Condemned To The Shadows” 7” EP in 2012 via Century Media Records as teaser for their comeback studio album, just returned home from the successful 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise, which went from Miami to Costa Maya in Mexico and back to Miami. Now, MASSACRE are announcing their return to European stages in order to promote “Back From Beyond” with some touring, supported by Death Metallers Lay Down Rotten on the German club dates and teaming up with Pestilence for the show in Belgium.
