SOILWORK drummer Dirk Verbeuren will sit in for Chris Adler on MEGADETH’s upcoming live dates while Adler is out with LAMB OF GOD, reports Bravewords.com.
Says Verbeuren: “I can’t thank Chris Adler enough for his kindness. It’s truly a huge honour to fill in for Chris in Megadeth, a band I grew up listening to. I’m so very grateful to Dave Mustaine, David Ellefson and Kiko Loureiro for their warm welcome. First show is tonight at Rock On The Range in Columbus, OH.
“Filling in for me in Soilwork is the amazing Bastian Thusgaard of The Arcane Order who also happens to be a student of mine. I know Bastian will do a fantastic job behind the kit!
“I will perform with both Soilwork and Megadeth at Sweden Rock and Graspop, and I’ll rejoin Soilwork on June 26th in Italy and throughout the rest of The Summer Majestic. See you on the road!”
Megadeth welcomes Dirk with these words: “News from Dave, Kiko, David, and Chris: please welcome our friend Dirk Verbeuren, who will be filling in at all shows until Chris rejoins on June 28th. Excited to be playing with this great drummer and great guy!”

EMP Label Group, the label owned by Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, has signed Dallas, Texas Metal outfit EVEN THE DEAD LOVE A PARADE, featuring Drowning Pool bassist Stevie Benton, and will release their EP digitally on May 13, 2016.
The band have released their video for “Heart Poacher”, available on the EMP LABEL GROUP YouTube channel below:
EVEN THE DEAD LOVE A PARADE began life when friends, guitarist Braxton Henry and drummer Clint Litton decided they had wanted to get back to their original metal roots; a band with simple crushing riffs, huge drums, in your face vocals, a straight forward METAL band.
Braxton and Clint started sharing their ideas and riffs for the project with bassist Stevie Benton, better known as the bassist for international Rock band Drowning Pool, who almost immediately signed on, and the musical core was completed with the addition of second guitarist
Matt “Mattador” Raffaele, four guys who had spent countless tours and years together on the road working/playing for Drowning Pool and were already a brotherhood.
Stevie states: “I thought Matt would be a perfect fit for what we were trying to accomplish. He and I had discussed starting a heavy band in the past, so it was time to join forces and dominate the world.”
With the core of ETDLAP firmly in place the search for the missing piece began, agreeing they needed a frontman whose voice could match the fierce intensity of the music, whose lyrics would paint a macabre picture for the listener; like a “Grindhouse” horror flick that sticks with you, a lyrical boogeyman who is real, relevant and in the now.
After auditioning several potential frontmen to no avail, guitarist, Raffaele discovered Jordan Condrey. “After listening to his vocals and reading his lyrics which were dark as fuck, we had found our singer.”
Since completing the lineup, ETDLAP have nurtured a brotherhood which is very evident in their unholy live show. Touring most of 2013 all over the US and Canada sharing the stage with such acts as Five Finger Death Punch, Korn, Asking Alexandria, Drowning Pool, Eye Empire, Sevendust, Nothingmore, Hellyeah and many other heavy hitters and in the genre. ETDLAP have proven their accomplishment of creating the music they set out to do from the beginning.
With a slew of new songs demoed and ready to be tracked EVEN THE DEAD LOVE A PARADE are poised to bringing the HEAVY back to fucking metal and testing God’s patience along the way with their lyrics and general irreverent bravado, guaranteed to make an impact on the heavy music scene for years to come.
Even The Dead Love A Parade is:
Jordan Condery – Lead vocals
Braxton Henry – Guitars
Matt Raffaele – Guitars
Stevie Benton – Bass
Clint Litton – Drums
Heavy metal monsters HELSTAR, who recently signed with ALPHA OMEGA Management, have released their new single “Black Cathedral”, via MEGADETH Bassist David Ellefson’s EMP Underground. The single is now available via iTunes, at this location.
Comments HELSTAR Frontman and vocalist, James Rivera:
“As my late great father use to say. “Better Days are coming”! So here you go my blood thirsty friends! The new single you have been waiting for. This is just the beginning of the new Vampiric race we will establish!!”
The new single “Black Cathedral” is taken from the band’s upcoming album “Vampiro”, another opus of tales of Dracula and vampires like the band’s all time most acclaimed 1989 release “Nosferatu” (produced and mixed by Bill Metoyer) in the same vein musically with shades of who HELSTAR are today. “Vampiro” – to be released in the coming months, via EMP Underground – was mixed by Bill Metoyer, and will certainly prove to the world that there is much much more left in these Texas Metal Legends!
HELSTAR are: James Rivera (voice), Larry Barragan (guitars), Andrew Atwood (guitars), Mikey Lewis (drums), Garrick Smith (bass)
