We got a little distracted this week. Swedish satanic rock sensation, Ghost recently revealed their new summer wear on stage at Sonisphere Spain and what can we say, it looks like they might not sweat for Satan this summer. Tonight’s Rock Show on Killer Bunny TV talks to the likes of Meshuggah who have recently brought a big chunk of US music fans to their knees with their usual brutal, hypnotic blend of clinical…metal.
Plus, Fenriz from Darkthrone, a band from the original batch of naughty Norwegian black metal acts who have been boosting Norway’s tourist industry since the Nineties, tells us why he goes to great lengths to avoid anyone who attempts to approach him. Even his own boss.
Rock bands do not sell as many albums as they used to and are forced to spend months on the road to earn a decent living. Our main interview with Dunderbeist vocalist, Torgrim Torve will give you more of an insight into how bad things really are and why they need to steal to keep afloat.

MESHUGGAH drummer, lyricist, and vertigo-inducer Tomas Haake is featured on the cover of Drum! magazine’s May 2012 issue (#191), available at newsstands now. Assistant editor Andrew Lentz attanded the January listening party for the band’s new album in Fullerton, California, braved the noise level at January’s NAMM convention in Anaheim, California to interview Haake, and then returned home to Northern California haggard and sleepless to face a deadline and piece the eight-page feature together.
“When you ride metal’s bleeding edge,” writes Lentz, “your biggest competition is yourself. In a counterintuitive move, MESHUGGAH‘s maestro of the mathematical beat-down, Tomas Haake found a way to upstage himself on ‘Koloss’ — by playing less.”
The feature — with photos by world-renowned photographer Neil Zlozower — covers the making of the album and MESHUGGAH‘s writing process, the difference between performing live and doing drum clinics, and a sidebar with MESHUGGAH bassist Dick Lövgren.
