Finnish Power Metal band Metal De Facto was formed in 2017. In 2019 they released their first album Ancient Rome themed “Imperium Romanum” which got excellent reviews all around the world. Band did some shows in their native Finland, but covid halted further touring. In 2022 their vocalist Mikael Salo had to quit the band for personal reasons and Metal De Facto started looking for a new singer. The search was over quite fast when they found Aitor Arrastia from Spain. His powerful voice fits the band perfectly and his style of singing will remind fans of the great days of first wave of Power Metal. It is time to Make Power Metal Great Again! Again!
Finnish power metal band METAL DE FACTO‘s new 5-track EP titled ”Legionnaires’ Oaths”, celebrates the 1 year anniversary of their debut album ’Imperium Romanum’, which was also released as a limited vinyl pressing in January as a part of the celebrations. The EP contains the fourth and final single for the album ’Legionnaires’ Oath’, as well as an acoustic version, which is accompanied by a brand new music video filmed at the legendary Beaver Bar in Helsinki.

”The bar is very well known to most metalheads in the Helsinki area, and it served as a perfect setting for the tavern-like feel we were looking for this acoustic music video!” comments the band’s lead singer Mikael Salo.
The band also had fun in the studio with 3 cover songs: Shakira’s “Whenever Wherever” featuring Nitte Valo (Dreamtale, ex-Battle Beast), Type O Negative’s “My Girlfriend’s Girlfriend” featuring Juha Kupiainen(De Lirium’s Order) and Dohatsuten’s “Ginga Densetsu Weed”, the opening song to an anime series of the same name where the band’s lead singer Mikael sang the song completely in Japanese! ”I used to study as an exchange student in Japan and picked up some of the language back then. My good friend from those times Nikolas Kiili helped out with the pronunciations, and I think the end result turned out real epic with the choirs and everything!” adds Mikael.

To make the release even more special, we made it strictly limited to 300 copies, 100 for each color: black for the classic vintage LP look, blood red and gold to fit the album’s theme colors of the glorious Roman Empire!
