Less than four weeks to go until the release of MNEMIC’s new modern metal devastator “Mnemesis” (out on the 8th of June) – the excitement grows! For there surely are plenty of pending questions on the part of the fans regarding the album and the new line up, the Danish quintet has decided to kick off a fan Q&A via the official Nuclear Blast Europe Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/nuclearblasteurope . From today until next Wednesday, May 23, you can post whatever preys on your mind – afterwards, guitarist Mircea Gabriel Eftemie will attend to your questions!

MNEMIC Bassist To Miss First Three Shows Of European Tour

Bassist Simone Bertozzi of Danish modern metallers MNEMIC will miss the first three shows of the band’s upcoming tour due to “some last-minute kidney issues.” He says, “I’m feeling well already, but, unfortunately, I’m forced to miss the [dates] in order to take the necessary medical tests and treatment measures. No panic, though, ’cause longtime friend Bo Lund (also known as THE HAUNTED‘s sound engineer) will provide the proper low-end dose on the first gig in Lyngby (Denmark), and the guys will increase their headbanging for the Czech Republic gigs to fill my empty spot. I will get back on the road with my fellas starting from Sunday, May 6th in Ferrara, Italy.”

MNEMIC will release its fifth album, “Mnemesis”, in Europe on June 8 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded at Antfarm studios in Aabyhøj, Denmark with longtime producer Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, HIMSA, SICK OF IT ALL). The cover artwork was created by Metastazis (MORBID ANGEL, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, PARADISE LOST, ULVER) and can be seen below.

Commented guitarist Mircea Gabriel Eftemie: “The arrival of ‘Mnemesis’ is getting closer and closer. With this said, we are announcing the full track list of the album, and later on we will be releasing some tunes for you all to hear. In other news we are actually going on tour next month! More precisely we are taking a run out in Europe, and later this year we are hitting Australia for the very first time. We’re very excited about this, and looking forward very much to be playing in this corner of the world!”

MNEMIC last year parted ways with drummer Brian “Brylle” Rasmussen and guitarist Rune Stigart and replaced them with Brian Larsen and Victor-Ray Salomonsen, respectively.

Danish modern metallers MNEMIC have recently finished their recording marathon in the Antfarm studios in Aabyhøj, Denmark and can now share some red-hot news on their upcoming 5th studio record with you! Guitarist Mircea issues the following statement:

“We can say that the new record is done, completed and our mission is finally accomplished. Since the disruption and chaos within the band last year, and the acquirement of new members, I never thought we would make it this far. Today everything converged and we ascended from the depths of turmoil, catharsis and hard work everyone has put into this new record, which is entitled “Mnemesis”. Yes, again we chose something no one can pronounce, just like our band mname.
For the ones that are curious about our new opus, I can say it’s more melodic than what we’ve done in the past, but at the same time more energetic and not so technical. We tried to incorporate the traditional Mnemic-esque sound and universe into the compositions, as good as we could. At the same time, we tried to move forward, like everything else in life. All in all it’s more of an atmospheric and melodic record, at least for me. In any case, hope you will enjoy it just as much as I do, and if not, no biggie, we are grateful that you at least took the time to read these lines.
See you somewhere out there, we’re coming for you cunts – and that’s a promise!”
