Exclusive Interview With Legendary MICHAEL SCHENKER: I’m promoting a new GUITAR, a ‘Kaleidoscope’, a very colourful one

BLACKDIAMOND of Firebrand Rock Radio  and Metal Shock Finland has recently conducted an exclusive interview with legendary guitarist MICHAEL SCHENKER when he was in London and discussed the upcoming “Temple Of Rock”  album amongst many more things.

When asked about working with various different musicians on the new album “Temple Of Rock“, Michael said: “‘I didn’t have any of those things planned. At the time I was working on a touring project with Herman Rarebell and Pete Way and I was also looking for a studio to make a new record. Michael Voss offered his studio, so I asked him to help me out with vocals and when I heard him I said ‘wow he can sing!’ so I asked him to join me, then  Pete and Herman wanted to join in. So I then thought it would be great to have musicians I worked with in the past and they were all available.”

“Right now I’m doing 3 guitars – I have the Retro guitar, one called Strangers in the Night and I’m promoting a new one, a ‘Kaleidoscope’, a very colourful guitar, which is only a prototype. So these are the 3 guitars I’m playing and promoting now.”  When asked about the new signature Dean V guitar due out this year, Michael said.

MICHAEL SCHENKER Unites With ROBIN MCAULEY For Extensive North American Tour

Singer Robin McAuley will reunite with legendary guitarist MICHAEL SCHENKER (SCORPIONS, UFO) for their first full tour together in almost 20 years.

The full band lineup for the trek will be as follows:

These days I just want to go out there, play and have fun. Also, it seems to me that collectively, with true expressive makers of rock music, we have been building the external Temple Of Rock for many years and have now come to the point of putting on the roofing and celebrating the almost completion of the Temple. All generations of this period are meeting all over the world on one stage it seems celebrating an era of “hand make rock”, which will never be the same again due to invention of new technology but of course New Temples and New Wonders will arise to enjoy expressions in new ways”.
