This is the explicit cover artwork for “Mondoscuro”, the announced EP co-starring CADAVERIA and Necrodeath, both as distinct bands and as authors of new songs, composed and played together.
In detail, the EP will contain six tracks: two brand new and co-written songs, two covers (one of The Beatles and one of Type O Negative) and two unusual “exchange of roles”, that will see CADAVERIA reinterpreting a classic by Necrodeath and Necrodeath performing a CADAVERIA hit.
Among the other surprises of “Mondoscuro” there is the participation of Lindsay Schoolcraft from CRADLE OF FILTH, as special guest on vocals.
“Mondoscuro” cover artwork was designed by Italian-Venezuelan digital artist Paolo Perrotta Mazza.
The release of “Mondoscuro” on Black Tears of Death label is expected late this Summer.
“MONDOSCURO” will be the title of the EP involving CADAVERIA and NECRODEATH, currently in the studio together to complete the mix of what promises to be the most diabolically unusual release of 2016.
The title refers to the cinematographic genre “Mondo film” of explicit documentaries, born in the 60s and depicting sensational, bloody and shocking scenes. “MONDOSCURO” also clearly recalls Mondocane project, the legendary collaboration of Necrodeath and Schizo from which the album “Mondocane: Project One” was born in 1989.
“MONDOSCURO” will not be a normal split, but a joint partnership that will see the two bands interacting strongly, through a track-list that alternates new songs to covers and that will include many identity exchanges. The EP will be released in a few months via Black Tears of Death. Stay tuned for more details!
A year and a half after the release of their latest album “Silence”, ALPHA OMEGA Management roster band, Horror Metallers CADAVERIA have entered the recording studios to work on the production of an EP. This work will represent something totally new in the history of the band, being the 15th Anniversary of the band’s activity. In fact legendary thrashers NECRODEATH, that share two band members with CADAVERIA (Flegias aka Marçelo Santos, singer in Necrodeath and drummer in CADAVERIA, and GL aka Peter Dayton, bassist in both bands), will take part in this EP.
Cadaveria Herself has defined this collaboration “a blood pact between two diabolic entities that will give life to a new irreligious and obscure soul”.
The two bands have signed an agreement with the label Black Tears for the release of their EP in the European territory.
Next CADAVERIA shows, so far:
21.05.2016 France, Saint-Hilaire-les-Places – Rock Metal Camp
02.07.2016 Italy, Resia (UD) – eResia Metalfest
17.09.2016 Malta – Voices Of The Succubi Festival
CADAVERIA was formed in 2001 with the intent to create a virtual space where to freely express themselves as musicians and extreme artists. CADAVERIA style, labelled Horror Metal by critics, can be well identified with a personal mix of Black, Death and Gothic Metal. The lyrics, scheming, hermetic and introspective, mirror the dark soul and the vexed personality are of the singer Cadaveria. Their latest effort “Silence” came out in November 2014, via Scarlet Records. Check out the official music video “Carnival of Doom” here:

WIM BAELUS (Belgium) on ‘The 7 Deadly Sins’: Very pleased to hear your morbid incantations on the new album basically still hold the standards Necrodeath founded back in the ancient days… loads of mercilessly thrashing & slashing but also a grim descent into dark atmospheres of doom & gloom. It’s exactly that kind of diversity that keeps creative bands away from being just avarage I think. The album sounds professional and crisp; yet at the same time heavy and brutal… I also like the new incarnation of “Graveyard of the innocents”!! That one has always been one of my favorite Necrodeath hymns… After all these years “Into The Macabre” is still my favorite Necrodeath album; obviously for emotional and nostalgic reasons, but now three decades later Necrodeath still keeps me enthralled with new stuff !
‘The 7 Deadly Sins’ follows the critically acclaimed, single-track album ‘Idiosyncrasy’, delivering 7 fast and brutal songs centering around the 7 sins. For the first time ever, the band used their Italian mother tongue to write most of the lyrics, as well as English and Latin, giving a different edge to the music itself. Also, 2 classic songs from the band’s catalogue have been re-recorded by the new line-up and included in the tracklist, ‘Thanatoid’ from ‘Fragments Of Insanity’ (1989) and ‘Graveyard Of The Innocents’ from ‘Into The Macabre’ (1987). The artwork features a provocative shot of renowned porn star Mila Ramos. The album has been anticipated by a 7-inch vinyl single release of the song ‘Wrath’.
Watch here the video for ‘Wrath’:
‘The 7 Deadly Sins’ tracklist as follows:
1. Sloth
2. Lust
3. Envy
4. Pride
5. Wrath
6. Gluttony
7. Greed
8. Thanatoid (Bonus track)
9. Graveyard Of The Innocents (Bonus Track)
Here is how Necrodeath’s frontman Flegias commented the event: “With this new album we have definetely reached a new level of ferocity. You can see it as a tribute to those fans who have been following us since the beginning and a painful kick in the balls to all those others who might have thought we have softened our sound! And to emphasize the morbidity of this record we have invited renowned Italian pornstar, friend and long-time Necrodeath fan Mila Ramos to star on the album cover and in the promotional trailer.”
