ENGEL: ‘Frontline’ Video Released

Swedish metallers ENGEL have released a new Live video “Frontline”, can be seen HERE (courtesy of RockTube). The clip was directed by Kristofer “Kiggs” Karlson, the video contains scenes from different concerts of the band.

“Frontline” comes off ENGEL‘s new album, “Blood Of Saints”, released on May 18 via Season Of Mist, the CD was recorded at Antfarm studios in Aabyhøj, Denmark.

Recently Metalshock Finland‘s Tarja Virmakari met Steve (Drennan), Marcus (Sunesson), Magnus (Klavborn) and Jimmy (Olausson) from ENGEL, backstage of Myötätuulirock festival, which took place in Finland (Vantaa, Hakunila sports ground) on August 3-4, 2012, organized by Rockfest Finland Oy.

In this exclusive interview we discussed about Engel’s music, their latest album “Blood Of Saints”, the busy summer festival period, their upcoming European tour, and about the new video “Frontline”, which was still “secret” at the moment of the interview…   listen to the interview below.

The “Question Your Place” video can be seen below. The clip was filmed on February 10 at Sticky Fingers in Gothenburg with director Kristofer “Kiggs” Carlsson.

RHAPSODY have just finished recording a video in Stockholm, Sweden, for one of the singles of their upcoming album “Ascending To Infinity”. The song is called “Dark Fate Of Atlantis” and the director is OWE LINGVALL, talented artist of the company DREAM DAY MEDIA (http://www.dreamdaymedia.com), also known to have created visual masterpieces for bands like THE RASMUS and KAMELOT (“The Great Pandemonium”).

The band states: “We are impressed by the visionary style of Owe’s works. For a band willing to sound and look cinematic like RHAPSODY there was no better choice possible. The video will be spread for free around the world in the beginning of April. Our friend Owe will also be responsible for a bonus DVD including the video, the “making of” documentary related with it, and exclusive interviews with all the RHAPSODY band members. TAAKE: ‘Nordbundet’ Video Released

“Nordbundet”, the new video from Norwegian black metallers TAAKE, can be seen below. Directed by Torgeir Ness Sundli, the clip is a mix of live footage of the band interspersed with scenes of the countryside around TAAKE‘s home town of Bergen, which have been filmed by founder and frontman Hoest, who also produced the video. Audio production is by Bjørnar E. Nilsen.

TAAKE‘s fifth full-length album, “Noregs Vaapen”, was released in Europe on September 20 via Dark Essence Records and will be made available on November 1 in the USA.

“Noregs Vaapen” was a much-anticipated release from the band that is now seen as one of the leaders of the Norwegian black metal scene. While never losing TAAKE‘s traditional sound and atmosphere with its icy riffs, its melodies redolent of Norway’s history, and distinctive vocals, Hoest has not hesitated to add a few twists that have taken everyone by surprise and kept the music fresh and original, including the use of the banjo on one track. The addition of guest appearances by some of black metal’s elite, including Nocturno Culto (DARKTHRONE), Attila Csihar (MAYHEM), Demonaz (IMMORTAL) and Skagg (GAAHLSKAGG, DEATHCULT) as well as producer and VULTURE INDUSTRIES frontman Bjørnar E. Nilsen have added a further dimension to “Noregs Vaapen”.

TAAKE will celebrate the release of the album with a special live set at Det Akademiske Kvarter in Bergen on September 30, and will then head out for a European tour in October with fellow Bergen blackened metallers BYFROST and the U.K.’s DONN THE PHILOSOPHY.

ARSAMES: New video “Immortal Identity” released

Persian Melodic Death Metal band, ARSAMES has released a new video for “Immortal Identity” song on September 2nd. the song was taken from the band’s debut album with the same name, released in November 2010 with Imortal Records worldwide. The video was directed by Sorena Afkham o Shoara, and was produced by Ali Madarshahi, the band’s front man and vocalist.

“The lyrics of this song were written in honour of Cyrus the Great, the founder of the Persian Achaemenid Empire that he and his historical signature define the national identity for many Iranians. Cyrus the Great respected the customs and religions of the lands he conquered and he was the first one who wrote rules for Human rights! This song is really special to band” The booking agent and promotion manager of Arsames Mohsen Fayyazi said.

“Løyndomsriss”, the new video from WARDRUNA — the Norwegian folk project featuring Einar “Kvitrafn” Selvik (GORGOROTH, JOTUNSPOR, DEAD TO THIS WORLD) and Kristian “Gaahl” Espedal (GORGOROTH, TRELLDOM) — can be viewed below. M.A.N: ‘Identical Abuse’ Video Released

“Identical Abuse”, the new Gabriel Engberg-directed video from M.A.N — the group formed out of the ashes of Sweden’s TRANSPORT LEAGUE (featuring former MNEMIC frontman Tony Jelencovich) — can be seen below. The song comes off the band’s third album, “Massive Audio Nerve”, which was released on March 26, 2010 via the German label Tiefdruck Musik. The CD was recorded at Grand Recordings in Gothenburg, Sweden with engineer Svein Jensen and was mixed by Ulrich Wild, who has previously worked with WHITE ZOMBIE, STAIND, STATIC-X, DEFTONES, PANTERA and LIMP BIZKIT, among others. The mastering was handled by Maor Appelbaum at Maor Appelbaum Mastering in Encino, California.

A new M.A.N three-track digital single called “Massive Audio Outtakes” will be made available soon. It will include a previously unreleased song called “Song#3 The Redemption”, a video remix of “Identical Abuse” and an industrial remix of the track “Loveless”.

The first photo of M.A.N‘s current lineup — featuring the band’s latest addition, guitarist Nils Olsson — can be viewed in the photo (Photo credit: Daniel Falk). Nils will make his live debut with M.A.N on April 16 at Sticky Fingers in Gothenburg, Sweden.

M.A.N will enter the studio in the fall to record the follow-up to last year’s “Massive Audio Nerve”. According to the band, “The sound will be fierce, and M.A.N will continue to explore the quarter tone system — an exciting journey!”
