Finnish one-man dark folk band Nobody is set to release a new EP Neurotic Age on August 15th 2024 via Inverse Records. The first and only single Stronger Than Dead is released today and music video is available below.
The man behind Nobody, Tuomas Kauppinen comments the single: “Stronger than dead is an account of madness and murder that took place decades ago but still resonates among the angry youth who have grown disenfranchised with the status quo, and about the ability of sociopathic narcissists to control such people according to their own murderous strategies.”
Following the successful announcement of their upcoming debut album, post/depressive black metal act NOBODY are back with their new single “Perpetual Torment”. No Clean Singing is hosting the song’s official premiere at THIS LOCATION.
NOBODY will release their hauntingly beautiful first full-length album, “Despair is Where My Thoughts Swim”, on May 17th 2024 via End My Life Records/Tragedy Productions.
On their debut album, NOBODY weave emotive metallic power and dream-state vulnerability, summoning a new level of melodicism through cast-iron, heartfelt songcraft. “Despair…” is a dynamic collection unashamedly brim-filled with sadness and regret.
The compositions are dark, atmospheric and emotional, and concomitantly lean towards open-minded musicality. While entrenched in metal’s doom and black metal branches, NOBODY displays a versatile, many-layered style of playing, packs different styles of vocals, and draws influence and inspiration from music outside the metal’s realm. The record incorporates acoustic guitar, piano and synth within flowing volleys of depressive black metal, weighty contemplative doom and the wide-ranging wistfulness of indie and post-punk songwriting.
The first single, “Life’s Ephemeral Tale”, is available HERE.

1. Life’s Ephemeral Tale 2. Faces Pass Me in Crowded Rooms 3. In This Emptiness 4. Perpetual Torment 5. Days Drift By 6. A Silent Prayer 7. Bleeding a World Undone 8. The Path of Ashes 9. Obscurity’s Embrace 10. In the Quietus of Night 11. Myspys (Lifelover Cover)
NOBODY is a DSBM band formed by Troll and Ulver early 2023 in Cincinnati, Ohio. That very same year, they released two EPs that were very well received in the underground: “Fading Into Obscurity” and “Lifeless and Still”. In 2024, Void joined the band as its new vocalist to work in their first full length “Despair is where My Thoughts Swim”. Void and Troll (guitars, drums) are well-known in the DSBM scene, both were former members of the band Sorry… until early 2024 and have numerous side-projects that transcend the subgenre. Troll says of the band: “Nobody is where echoes fade and darkness swells, souls adrift, in the void’s embrace”.
NOBODY‘s first full-length album will be released by End My Life Records/Tragedy Productions on May 17th, 2024. The album consists of 11 songs, including a Lifelover cover performed by guest vocalist Irritum (Internal Darkness, I Fall to Ash).
For fans of: Amesoeurs, early Katatonia, Forgotten Tomb, Lifelover, Nocturnal Depression

Turd of Mouth is a poem about the lycanthropic effect of social media on the human psyche.”

Finnish one-man dark acoustic prog folk rock band NOBODY released a new EP Father of Lies. This four track EP is once again released in cooperation with Inverse Records.
The man behind Nobody, Tuomas Kauppinen comments the EP and tracks:
“The Father of Lies violates us every day of our lives, feeding us with hatred and fear, rewarding acquiescence with even more brutality. The further we give in to his reckless demands, the further he will tear our souls apart. He is a psychopathic god who will never stop, unless we say “no”. And we will say “no”, eventually. It will not be a revolution of guns and bloodshed that will liberate us from his grip, but a revolution of our hearts.
The Divine Marquis
The marquis de Sade was a deranged bastard, without doubt. He bound up sex workers, whipped them bloody and imprisoned them in his chateau, forcing them to watch as he masturbated on religious icons. But this was not the reason why the status quo locked him up for the greater part of his life. The reason was that de Sade wrote about what the upper classes did in their free time, how they raped and tortured vulnerable people for their pleasure. Napoleon Bonaparte, that pitiful midget who thought he would grow bigger by enslaving Europe, saw de Sade as a threat because he wrote what he saw. And if you think that times have changed, that no longer truth-speakers are persecuted for speaking out, you are fatally mistaken.
Chain of Events
Karma means reaction. For every action there is a reaction. Bear that in mind the next time you bitch at a clerk in the supermarket, just because your boss made you feel like shit at work. What are you doing in a workplace that makes you feel like shit anyway?
Alliance
Love is impossible to describe. We all want it, but it takes sacrifices beyond what most of us are willing to make. Love easily destroys you, too, if you make too many sacrifices, in the wrong ways. Then love will rot and turn to hate. Every goddamn poet writes about love, but have they taught you anything about it, in the truest sense of the word? If they have, let me know. I still can’t describe love.
House Uphill
My home country is filled with depressed, suicidal and even murderous souls who can’t have access to help except in the form of pills that numb their minds, make them fat, deprive them of their sleep, make them impotent, psychotic, incoherent and disagreeable in infinite ways. No real help is available, unless you kill someone or almost kill yourself, at which point it’s too little, too late. We are nothing but cattle to the Father of Lies, and he doesn’t care about our well-being as long as we keep making him profit. This is the story of one of those animals who never had a chance, was never given a chance, and who was buried among the rest of the discarded livestock, without a flower on their grave to ease their decomposition.”
